This production is
dedicated to the
memory of:
Marlene Sue Fisher
Marlene was one of Gibson County Youth Theatre’s biggest fans. In addition to
supporting all types of performing arts, she loved sports and all other youth-
centered activities in the Princeton community. She could frequently be seen at
community events cheering for all the students alongside her husband of 34 years,
Marvin, who continues in her legacy. Marlene was never without a smile on her face
or a kind word for all those around her. She was a very special person and a ray of
light in our community. She is greatly missed by those who loved her.

From the Director….
As always, it has been a privilege to work with some very talented kids from
our community. Gibson County Youth Theatre (formerly, Gibson County Summer
Musical) is now in its 6th season and is looking forward to some very exciting
changes for its 7th season. We will begin by changing our fiscal year to July-June.
This way, our new year will start right after our big show of the season and we can
begin making plans and fundraising for the following year’s shows. It will take a lot
of pressure off our staff and youth to get some of the business tasks taken care of in
advance so that during the run of a show we can focus solely on the show. As for
Hairspray, I have had a fantastic time getting to know all the students and watching
them gain confidence and stage presence throughout our rehearsal period. We have
several kids who that are experiencing theatre for the first time! I would like to
thank all those who made this production possible with their many hours of hard
work. I am especially grateful for the extra time I was able to spend with my
daughter as she prepares to leave for college in the fall. I love you Claire and will
miss you next year!
Yours in the Arts, Stacy M. Hurt
