Old Business Wings Over The Rockies – Larry Feuhrer 1) accepted signups to participate in the show, 2) reminded us
that setup is on Friday, 22 February, 5:00 pm., 3) the show is on Saturday, 23 February, and participants must arrive between 7:30 and 9:45 am otherwise pay the museum entrance fee.
Fox Order – the order was mailed January 20th. Labor Day Contest – a lot of time was spent on the contest. Here are the decisions…
1. Event Directors Stunt – Jerry Higgins Speed – Greg Settle Racing – Bill Ledden Balloon Pop – Dale Johnson
2. Events a. Stunt – Classic, Old Time, Profile, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert b. Speed – All AMA events #301-310 and Sport Jet (a single event), Class I Mouse
Proto, Perky, and Vintage Speed c. Racing – Class I Mouse (AMA #313), Scale Race (Wichita Rules), and Fox Race
(NCLRA) d. Balloon Pop (Denver Rules) Have I missed any?
3. Fees Registration will be $25.00. Most importantly this does NOT include the first event as
has been the tradition. Events are $5.00 each. Overall, this represents a $5.00 cost increase for the contest participants.
4. Prizes Larry Fuehrer suggested awarding AMA medallions at a cost of $10.99 per event. A
motion to award these medallions was defeated.

UPCOMING EVENT
A motion to award cash prizes was approved. Cash prizes will be distributed as follows:
90% of collected fees will be distributed as prizes, the club retains the re-maining 10%.
Prize money will be evenly divided by the number of events, I just counted 15 listed above (did I miss one?)
Each event’s share will be divided 60% to first place and 40% to second. Prizes go to only 1st and 2nd place.
There will be Grand Prize Tophies New Business
Tony Livaudais presented a Certificate for the event winners as more of a reminder of their win. Tony L. suggested having a more permanent club banner be created of a durable material with grom-
mets suitable for hanging. The club chose to let this suggestion pass since there are other banners currently available.
Tony L. has located a site suitable for our flying with both a concrete and an asphalt surface. This land is located at Heinz Way and 96th Ave and is owned by the BN railroad. Leasing this land is possible for $1,800/yr. Applying for the lease will cost $600.00, non-refundable. This matter will be discussed at next month’s meeting after everyone has a chance to visit the site.
Flying Site Insurance for the Coliseum is an issue because the City requires $1.5 million liability in-surance on automobiles. The AMA insurance doesn’t cover automobiles. It was agreed by the club to buy the insurance, to continue the relationship with the City to use the Coliseum, and schedule a face to face meeting with City representatives to come to an understanding (maybe).
The club agreed to rent the Fire Station meeting room for March and April. Announcements/Schedules
