holistic solutions

• Use NEN’s multi-stakeholders committees network in

Mobility – Building – Infra – Energy – Care – Environment – Social

• Enrich & accelerate City projects by informing & participation in on-going

standardization projects worldwide

For determination of strategies and priorities for standards development regarding

Smart Cities the NL Strategic Advisory Group Smart Cities has been founded by

The steady growth of Worlds population, together with growing

urbanization and the necessity of implementing sustainability,

makes that (large) cities have to get prepared for the future

in a smart way. For this, integral approaches solving societal

challenges combined with technological solutions, are crucial.

Cooperation and communication between cities and citizens

is evident.

How can cities connect with industry and knowledge centers in

order to be able to make the right decisions and share relevant

best practices? How can market introduction and market

acceptance be realized? How can scaling up of innovations

within cities, regions and (inter)national be managed? Many

cities, together with their partners, are trying to get grip on

(trans sectoral) accommodation in order to get their city smart.

This asks for support of widely accepted standards and guidance

that creates trust for investments and further innovation.

The Dutch Strategic Advisory Group on Smart Cities (NLSAG-SC)

is a national cooperation of about 16 key stakeholders that fi lls

in above described challenges in close cooperation with (inter)

national networks.
