Trades of Hope was created to give women the opportunity for a better life. Each woman has a story, and with Trades of Hope’s help, their story has changed from pain and struggle to a story of hope! They work with the artisans themselves and organizations that are helping women in difficult circumstances. Some women have been rescued from sex slavery. Others are raising handicapped children alone. Some are in war torn countries and others have HIV/AIDS and leprosy. These women have never had the chances we’ve had, yet they are just like us in so many ways. They love their families and hope and dream of a better life for them. They are helping by marketing their products through the home party model, so they can put food on their table, a roof over their head, get medical care and an education for their children. They want to tell their stories to the world! They have a heart for ministry and business, and through this they have started separate successful non-profit organizations and businesses. Learn how this organization and our presenters are making a difference in the lives of these women and their families! November 15“Trades of Hope”Presented by Jamie Driggers and Sara Rempel

So many women live in poverty, not because they lack abilities, but because they lack opportunity.

October 18“Game Changers – How God put together the All-Star Team!”Presented by Local Game Changers and hopefully a Quiring (or two)!

Greenhouse Church located in Salt Lake City and Pastored by Jason Quiring and his wonderful wife Nicole, for the second year have pioneered a Christian Character based youth Sports camp and VBS in the heart of their LDS community. Learn about the LDS faith and the challenges and rewards of being a light in this community.

A team of around 50 people went out to Utah to serve. One thing was clearly evident, the unity that Christ provided was amazing. Their team represented 5 different states, and even more church congregations including Parkview and HMBC! God provided the perfect gifts and talents and it allowed some amazing things to happen.

Hear how God brought them together again, of making connections and loving on kids. Parents were continually asking why they came—to many of them it didn’t make sense why a group of 50 would come out and put this camp on (for basically the cost of a t-shirt). This was a perfect way to give honor to Christ but also make a connection for Greenhouse Church.

November 1“Eating to Heal Your Body ”Presented By: Sue and Chad Johnson

Sue and Chad Johnson will share their story behind what lead led them to building the most amazing organic local farming operation right here in McPherson, KS! How eating can heal your body, the day to day operations of their beautiful farm, and how you can be a part of it!

Sue Johnson will share her interesting path of occupations and unique experiences that ultimately shaped her desire to help people by providing nutrient rich produce. From florist/garden center to medical consulting that took her all over the world, Sue has cultivated a passion for helping people and has developed a new niche to utilize her talents and fill her heart. Sue and Chad’s motto “Sowing with Faith, Growing with Hope, Sharing with Love!” is evident in everything they do.

Chad, whose full-time job is a corporate pilot for Cessna, is also the “Microbiology MacGyver” for Fly Away Farm USA according to Sue. Chad incorporates the organic matter, fertilizes the gardens with his special compost tea formula, and is responsible for keeping the microorganisms and nutrients within the perfect growing levels. Apparently, he is also the guru of invention, using a washing machine to create a big “salad spinner!”
