Sediment Impact Studies(per EM 1110-2-4000, Sedimentation Engineering)
• Evaluation of anticipated impact of sedimentation on:– project performance & maintenance– stream system morphology
• Development of sediment work plan • Staged sediment studies:
– Sediment impact assessment– Detailed sedimentation study– Feature design sedimentation study

Systems Approach to Watershed Sediment Management
• Application of methods and techniques used to assess and rehabilitate watersheds, including the Delta Headwaters Project, 2500 square miles in 17 watersheds in northern MS
• Reduction of erosion by the application of multiple techniques, including grade control, streambank stabilization, land treatment, gully stabilization, and hydrologic control
• Data collection and modeling to develop watershed systems approach
