Subduction 1st step!

• Subduction is when two plates collide one plate is forced to go underneath the other plate. When the plate goes underneath it can get caught it tries to break free when it manages to get away it releases pressure

Subduction

Reverse fault

• The reverse fault is when the bigger tectonic plate rises and gets caught on the other plate

• When the other plate rises it causes friction if the friction is hard enough the plate can get caught.

Page 5: Flowchartriley

Strike Slip

• Strike slip is when the plates move side ways

• Again if the friction is hard enough it can cause an earthquake

Page 6: Flowchartriley

2nd step

• When the plate gets caught he will keep going in the direction that its going in when it gets to hard and the plates get stuck they cant move it then releases pressure

Release of pressure 3rd

• When it releases pressure it sends out seismic waves. Seismic waves are used by scientist to determine the earths shape. Seismic waves are energy waves that a sent from an earthquake or anything that explodes from the ground. The epicenter is a fake line that reaches the land underneath the epicenters the focus.

Destruction final step

• When it has past the destruction point(epicenter) it can cause massive problems. The normal magnitude ratio is 7.5 every time it goes up a whole it increases by 10 thousand
