NAWS Annual Report Summary

• To view Full Report - www.na.org/?ID=ar-2012• July 01, 2011-June 30 2012• First Time since 1998 restructure there is a full

18 member World Board• Getting by with Less. Sales and Contributions

are down.• Some services suspended others such as free

literature continue

Member Survey

• Survey at the group level administered in States of Florida and Pennsylvania and the County of Los Angeles

• Results will be published in a Medical Journal in the near future

• This raises the credibility of NA in the medical community

• Continued rise in medicalization of Addiction

Membership Survey

• 17,492 respondents• 10.87 years is average clean time• Top two D’s of Choice are stimulants and Opiates• 47% of respondents reported medication for

health maintenance or mental health issues• Resource for Public relations uses – marked

improvement in relationships, society as a whole, productive members of society

Imagine….

• Scenario: Region XYZ has 360 meetings per month with an average home group attendance of ten members. If for one week per month each of the home group members put one extra dollar in the basket. That is $10/month/group= $120/year/group=$43,200/year extra for your region.

Consider

• 250 members give $10 per month to ASC or RSC for twelve months that equals $30,000

• Assume 20,000 addicts present at WCNA 34 from US and Canada. Presume that only 20% of members from US and Canada with over a clean attended then we can project 100,000 members in those countries. If every one of them (us) donated $1 a month for one year that = $1,200, 000. Would you miss $1 a month?

Questions for Your Area

For Subcommittees:– What do you think is different at RSC from the previous system that

doesn’t require the presence of Subcommittees from Areas– If you are not attracted to a Regional Service Conference what would

attract you.

For All members– What would you make different in our regional System that would

encourage and help you to participate
