Florida’s Actions
• To date, an estimated 259,950 feet of boom has been placed in Florida and an additional 11,400 is staged.
• EOC remains activated at a Level 2 or Partial activation.
• Governor Crist has issued three Executive Orders since April 30, 2010 declaring a state of emergency in 26 coastal counties that may see impacts from the incident.
• DEP has issued an Emergency Final Order to accelerate preparedness and restoration in the counties under the Executive Orders.

Fish & Wildlife
• FWC is working closely with partner agencies and conservation organizations.
• Approximately 70 FWC staff are involved in a variety of oil spill response-related activities.
• FWC held an emergency Commission meeting last week in St. Petersburg to discuss the agency's ongoing response to oil spill. Approximately 150 citizens attended the meeting.
• Oiled birds, reptiles and other wildlife will be handled by Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research in coordination with FWC and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
• Coordinating with National Marine Fisheries Service on fisheries closures.
