Expedition Everest Challenge Family Edition10:30 a.m. ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Race start runDisney Kids Races The Kids Races will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Kids Race participants should be at the Kids Race start line at 9:45 a.m. Parents are encouraged to run with their children. Make sure to wear the color-coded Kids Race bib! Each start line will have feather banners that match the color of the numbers on the race bibs – green for 4-6 years old, yellow 7-8 years old, red for 9-10 years old. Participants will be grouped by age. The event will then follow a rolling schedule beginning with the 4-6 year olds, followed by the 7-8 year olds, and then the 9-10 year olds.

Parent Claim ProcessEach race bib will include a tear off tag with your child’s race number on it. Please remove this tag from your child’s bib prior to their race. Present this tag at the conclusion of the race in order to leave the secure finish area with your child.

REMINDER: The Kids Races will contain small obstacles throughout the course. Please note these obstacles are optional. If the child participates in these obstacles, we encourage parents to assist their child.

Expedition Everest Challenge Family EditionThe Family Edition will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. Family Challenge participants will need to Check in at the Family Challenge Check in Tent located at Field 25 prior to 10:30 a.m. At 10:30 a.m. a guide will give you instructions on how the adventure will begin!

RACE RESULTS & TIMINGSince everyone is a winner, none of the runDisney Kids Races and Expedition Everest Family Edition will be scored.

AWARDSAll of the competitors are winners! No placement awards will be given out; but all finishers will receive a commemorative medallion at the Finish. For the runDisney Kids Races, medallions will be given to official participants – parents who choose to run with their kids will not receive a medal.

RESTRICTIONSFor everyone’s safety, walkers, walking sticks, crutches, canes, baby backpacks, baby joggers/strollers, baby carriers, bicycles, inline skates, motorized scooters, skateboards, and animals of any kind are prohibited on the course.

WEATHERThe race will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area, the races will either have delayed starts or, depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled. The determination will be made by the Event Management staff.

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE! Parking is complimentary at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. There will be limited parking on both days due to other events taking place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Participants staying at the host resorts are STRONGLY encouraged to use event transportation from the Event Host Resorts to Packet Pick-Up, Kids Races and Family Edition.

HOST RESORTS & TRANSPORTATION Host Resort Transportation for this event will ONLY be available to those participants staying at one of the host resorts: • Disney’s All Star Sports Resort • Disney’s All Star Movies Resort • Disney’s All Star Music Resort • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

TRANSPORTATION TO PACKET PICK-UP Buses will run from the Event Host Resorts to Packet Pick-Up at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex from 11:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3. Buses will run in 30 minute loops. Please check with the front desk of your Host Resort for the pick-up location.

RACE DAY TRANSPORTATIONBuses will depart the Event Host Resorts to the Kids Races and Family Edition starting at 9:00 a.m. Buses will return Guests to the Event Host Resorts following the events.
