Florence and the Machine Digipak

As several songs in this album are about violence and death, the artist uses a sad facial expression to depict the emotion. She is known for her pale complexion and bright ginger hair which has been toned down for this album cover in order to not deflect any attention for the artistic imagery. The prop of lungs cleverly placed is in reference to the song title. The playful, stylish handwriting font reflects her persona whilst giving the album a personal touch. ‘And’ is shortened to ‘+’ as the artist is well established the audience will be aware of the singer and her logo.

The back of the album includes an illustration of a pair of lungs in a style of a diagram as the plain background allows the focus to primarily be on the image. This album follows the generic conventions of a cd cover as the names of tracks are displayed in chronological order and includes a website that the buyers can go on to find out more information about tour dates, album releases etc.
