Kangaroo

• A kangaroo is a plant eating animal,ground dwelling, mammal that rearsits young in a pouch in its abdomen,has elongated hind legs with big feetand hops.

Leaves are lance shaped and glossy ordull green to grey-green with prominent veins.White flowers are produced from July, August,October, November, December and January.Fruit are about 1cm long.

The conesdisintegrate at maturity to release the seeds.The Queensland Kauri was heavily logged inthe past but is not endangered.
