Flexscreed® is a high strength cushioned, seamless, sealed, protective, flexible rubber system

supplied in kit format for stables, horseboxes, vets, milking parlours etc. Also ideal for all repairs on granulistic rubber flooring.

The product is easy to mix & lay even without a experienced trowel hand. It will lay & level through uneven surfaces.

Flexscreed® provides the comfort & strength of rubber matting in a fully seamless bonded system.

This standard easy use mix has been formulated for most applications. This can be varied as required.

All of our Flexscreed® systems unsealed, external, high density etc, are also available in bulk supply with full instructions.

It is also possible to use more granules into the binder to achieve open surfaces for drain through external works or

less rubber for denser high wear areas, stocks & washbays, horseboxes etc.

NB. Kits are supplied for use on all substrates without primer. However if faced with a dusty or porous surface primers are available please contact our office on 01768 864977.

Preparation

Ensure all areas are clean & dry. Mask off as required. Locate & separate resins & hardeners. The binder part of the system has been supplied in 2 halves. For small applications one 5kg unit would then mix with half the bag of rubber granules or as required.

Mixing

Locate Superflex Membrane resin & hardeners. For full mix empty 2No 5kg units (3.96kg) of Superflex Resin into the plastic mixing drum.

Add in 2No plastic bottles (1.04 kg) of Superflex Membane hardener. Stir in thoroughly with drill and paddle. Once mixed add the bag of rubber granules & mix well until the mix is even & there are no balls of rubber/resin.

NB. For strong uses like horseboxes and stable only use 20kg of the 25kg bag of rubber this will give extra strength.

Application

Once mixed spread lightly onto the substrate @ 12mm thick. Battens can be used to gauge depth. Using a little pressure close up the surface. Any slightly open or textured areas will close up & seal with the grout coat the following day. Wiping the blade of the trowel with a rag damped in thinners may aid finishing & closing the surface. This can also be used for cleaning the trowel & equipment upon completion. The mix will take 8 to 12 hours to cure dependant upon temperature. Allow to cure before the grout seal.

Grout Seal

Locate the final 5kg unit of Superflex resin & hardener. Add the hardener into the resin & mix through very well. Take time to mix thoroughly into the

corners of the bucket. Under mixing can create soft spots. Once mixed pour out onto the surface & grout off with the flat edge of a metal float. This is

normally done quite tightly. It is possible to run over very lightly with a roller to remove any small trowel marks. If Superflex Membrane is applied slightly thicker & back rollered more aggressively it will give a very textured surface far ramps, inclines etc. Cure time 8 to 12 hours. Extra grout seals can be used in very high wear areas.

The above instructions are for a standard mix. For repairs on granulate rubber or where you would like to lay a wet mix in one go the rubber granules can be reduced to 8kg of rubber to 10kg of Superflex Membrane. This will fill & seal in one go and can be laid thinner than normal. If you wish a external or drier mix the amount of rubber can be increased but the substrate will require a primer.

Quattro also have Q/flex sealant for joints on where the screed joins an uneven wall.
