Challenges

Pain – Finance and Controlling wanted to get a tighter grip on the commitments accrual amounts.

The cost center managers would struggle monthly to get a quick answer as to what was to be accrued for month end.

The Goal - To help Controlling capture the proper information with a tool they could use at the business level and not have to count on IT to build are report.

Controlling required better information from SAP to arrive at the proper accruals

VP of Controlling and Finance was spending a lot of time sifting through the numbers which really ought to be captured in a report that would be sent to cost center managers to review and address any issues along with improving the accrual accuracy amount at month end.

• We use Winshuttle Query for the Controlling and Finance area to empower the business user to create reports that may take much longer to come to fruition if the report request was placed with IT support.

• The Controlling business user knows their data best, putting the report building tool into the knowledge owners hands is cutting to the chase, when it comes to producing reporting with efficiency.

• This Winshuttle Query has eliminated time consuming ‘sanity checks’ on data that comes from SAP directly with accuracy and instills trust in the numbers.
