In this tutorial I will teach you how to flash a new PPM which is new default icons;
I will not take responsibility for any mistake made, do it for your own risk
REMEMBER: every time you will do something on your mobile's system, make a backup first, only make any
change on your mobile system if your guarantee period is finished, because it breaks contract.
“IF ANY ERROR OCCUR WHILE FLASHING YOUR PHONE IT WILL BECOME DEAD (CALLED AS
“DEAD PHONE”) but in 90% of the cases it can be "revived" (another tutorial)
Steps:
1. Download NAVIFIRM

1.1. Run NAVIFIRM (Connected to Internet)
1.2. Select RM Version of Your Phone (Products :)
In my case Nokia 5310 XpressMusic (RM-303)
1.3. Select the Version (Releases :)
In my case version 10.10
1.4. Select the Variant Which You Want (Variants :)
In my case RM-303 BRAZIL-L CLARO BRAZIL RED (0558970) ← my product code, you can find yours on
the back of your mobile's battery
1.5. Select .mcw, .ppm & .image
the extensions would have more letters add
in my case the extensions " .mcw = .mcusw, .ppm = .ppm_l, .image_red_l_clabr "
1.6. Download All

2. Download the modified ppm corresponding with your mobile's RM and version
In my case it's RM-303 10.10
(you can modify a ppm by your own, but it takes a lot from you, it's recomended to search for one already
modified)

3. Install Downloaded OS
Download JAF with Loader(Emulator)

3.1. Install it (please exit NOKIA PC SUIT if it is running, see your tray bar)
3.2. Select and run JAF With Loader (OGM_JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v3.exe)
3.3. Click In "GO"

3.4. Click "OK"
3.5. Click In"BB5" tab

3.6. Click in "?" button on the Phone Mode label, it has to show "Normal" on the message box, if it doesn't you
have to check Normal Mode on
Flash Settings label then click "?" again
3.7. Click on "MCU" green button. Then a window will open as “Select CMT Flash File…..”...

3.8. Select the .mcu file you downloaded with NAVIFIRM (MCU file contain main OS part, up to yet not
possible to edit)
3.9. Click on "PPM" green button and select the edited .ppm file you downloaded, It can be the default ppm
downloaded by NAVIFIRM

3.9.1. Click on "CNT" green button and select the “IMAGE” file, downloaded by NAVIFIRM . It usually
contains default soft wares, themes,
Wallpapers etc… Other NOKIA phone’s Image file can be used be sure that the version should be same. i.e.:
content file of S40 V3 can be replace with other S40 V3 and not with S40 V5 or V6 edited by using TriX
software, content file also can be used.

3.9.2. Now IT IS TIME TO FLASH
Click On “Flash”. Then a window will appear like this (WARNING!!!)
3.9.3. Click “Yes”
Wait about 10-15 minutes for your phone to be flashed, when it restart you can use normally
