DESI ARNAZ• Lucille was married to

Desi for twenty years. They worked together on many projects, including I Love Lucy. Even after their divorce in 1960, the pair remained in contact as close friends and always spoke fondly of each other. Desi would most definitely make Lucille’s “Five.”

MARY WICKESMary Wickes was a

world-renowned actress. She was also an adept comedienne in her own right. In a cut-throat industry, Mary was one of Lucille’s few close friends. Ms. Wickes would certainly be included in Ella’s Fav Five.

VIVIAN VANCE

Vivian Vance got her start on Broadway, but when she became Ethel Mertz on I Love Lucy, Vivian’s career took off. After some initial tension, Vivian and Lucille became lifelong friends. Lucille would definitely have Vivian in her “Five.”

BETTE DAVIS• Bette Davis and Lucille

first met at the John Murray Anderson School for the Dramatic Arts in New York City. They were in an acting class together. Even after Lucille left the school, the two remained close friends for the remainder of their days. Bette would most definitely make it into Lucille’s “Five.”

GINGER ROGERS

Ginger Rogers was one of America’s most well known icons. She sang, danced, and acted.while she is principally celebrated for her role as Fred Austaire’s love interest and partner, Ginger appeared once of the I Love Lucy show. Lucille and Ginger hit it off even though they had different views. Ginger would surely be among Lucille’s Fav Five.

DRAMA COACHES

While Lucille was still young, her parents sent her to the John Murray Anderson School for the Dramatic Arts in New York City. While she made friends easiy, the professors didn’t think Lucille was so lovable. She was sent home after only a few weeks. It’s safe to say that the drama coaches would be blocked from Lucille’s list.

HOUSE COMMITTEE ON UN-AMERICAN ACTIVITIES

In the year 1953, Lucille was subpoenaed by the House Committee on Un-American Activities for registering with the Communist party in the 1936 election at the insistence of her grandfather. The committee found that Lucille committed no wrong and the charges were dropped. So, the committee would absolutely be blocked from Lucille’s phone.

LIZA MINELLI

Lucille was very protective of her children and could sometimes be a little controlling. Lucille’s son Desi Jr. had a relationship with the very popular Liza Minelli; however, Lucille did not approve. She didn’t think that Liza was domestic enough for her son, so Liza would be blocked from Lucille’s phonebook.

EARL CARROLLThe beginning of Lucille’s

career was plagued by failures. After her dismissal from Art school, Lucille moved to New York City to pursue her acting career. She began on Broadway using the name “Diane Belmont” and was hired, but then she was quickly fired by Earl Carroll. Because of his lack of confidence in her ability, Mr. Carroll would definitely be blocked from Lucille’s phone.

FLORENZ ZIEGFELD

Even after her disastrous start to Broadway, Lucille kept on pursuing her dream of becoming an actress. She was hired to be in the touring show Rio Rita. However, she was let go early on in the production and hindered Lucille in her pursuit of her dream. He’s blocked.

RICHARD PRYORRichard Pryor is

regarded as one of the most important stand-up comedians of all time. He was the inspiration for Robin Williams to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. He would certainly make Robin’s “Five Fav’s.”

JOHNATHAN WINTERS

• Johnathan Winters is a very acclaimed comedian in American comedy. Robin Williams looked up to him a lot in the early years of his career. Johnathan is definitely in the “Five.”

CHRISTOPHER REEVES• Christopher Reeves

and Robin Williams were two of only twenty students to be accepted into Julliard. The two had several classes in which they were the only two students and they developed a very close relationship. The friendship stuck until Reeves’s death. So, Christopher is on Robin’s “Five Fav’s.”

WHOOPI GOLDBERG

• Whoopi Goldberg is one of America’s most lovable comediennes and actresses. A very gifted comedienne in her own right, Whoopi captured the hearts of Americans and developed a close friendship with Robin Williams. The two often get advice from each other. Whoopi is most definitely in the “Five.”

JONAH LOMU

Regarded as the first true global superstar of the rugby union, Jonah Lomu was one of Robin Williams’s childhood inspirations. Williams enjoyed playing rugby throughout much of his earlier years and still watches it avidly. Lomu would absolutely be in Robin’s Fav Five.

Michelle Tish Carter was a cocktail waitress that Robin had an affair with while he was married to Valerie Velardi. Michelle later sued Robin, claiming that he knowingly gave her herpes. The case was settled out of court. She would obviously be blocked from Robin’s phone.

Robin’s first son’s nanny. She was several months pregnant with his child when they married. They remained together until early 2008 when she filed for divorce, saying they had irreconcilable differences. Because of these differences, she would be blocked from Robin’s phone.

Robin Williams was very reserved as a young child, and he was often plagued by bullies. Since his career took off, Robin has advocated for children who are bullied in society. All bullies would definitely be blocked!

nonconformist, Robin loves to go against the conventional group. He has been very outspoken on the choices that the Bush Administration has made and has been very critical. In fact, a lot of his stand-up material has been inspired by the Administration. Therefore, they would be blocked.
