Ensure that brackets are positioned a suitable distance away from any window/ door handles or any other obstructions to allow the blind to operate smoothly.

Deciding where to mount the brackets:

Add 30mm to the width of the blind fabric. Mount the brackets so that the outside of the brackets are this distance apart.Hold each bracket into place and mark the hole positions using a pencil. Fit each bracket using 2 screws provided.

Hold each bracket into place and mark the hole positions using a pencil. Fit each bracket using 2 screws provided. Ensure the brackets are level to ensure the smooth operation of the blind.

Step Two. Fitting the blind

To calculate the spacing between the brackets:

Bracket Covers

If you ordered bracket covers with your blinds, follow this easy step to fit them. Simply slide the covers over the bracket once fitted. The bracket cover doesn’t affect the operation of your blind and is an aesthetic accessory only.

When the brackets have been fitted to the window area, holding the fully-wound blind, locate the ‘pin’ (the end of the blind opposite to the spring controls) into the bracket first. Then fix the spring control end into the opposite bracket. The locating lugs should be positioned in the bottom section of the bracket..

Step Three. To operate the blind

Step Four. Altering the spring tension

Gently pull the blind down to the required position and release the tension slightly so that the spring locks. To wind the blind back up, pull down slightly to release the spring and guide the blind into position.

If the blind fabric doesn’t wind up completely when the blind is operated, greater spring tension can be applied as follows:

1) Pull the blind down by 250mm (10”) from its uppermost position and push the locking pin in until it engages.

2) Take the blind off the brackets and roll the fabric, by hand, back ONTO the roller.

3) Fit the blind in as before and pull out the ‘locking pin’ by a couple of millime-tres. Check that you’re happy with the tension.

4) In case the tension is still insufficient, repeat three steps above. Ensure you don’t over tension the spring as this could damage it.

If the blind fabric winds up too quickly and you want to reduce the tension of your blind:
