University School of Law and Legal Studies was established in 2001, with an objective

to run 5-year integrated professional law courses and to serve as an institute of advanced

legal studies. It was first University Law School in the NCT of Delhi, in the vicinity of the

Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, various subordinate courts, commissions, tribunals, and

various monitoring offices of national and international voluntary organizations. Keeping in

mind the rapidly evolving world around us, we have made sure to design and deliver quality

programmes that would enhance subject areas, provide profession-specific expertise, and

encourage the personality transformation of an evolving legal professional. We as a law

school are committed to enabling and facilitating truly exciting, stimulating, and life-long-

learning environment: experiential education to combine creativity, innovation, and

entrepreneurship.

A well qualified and experienced faculty is the backbone of our law school, which seeks to

instill human values for the all-around development of a legal professional, building up the

temperament, personality, and capacity to work in a team, promoting creativity and trouble-

shooting ability within a disciplined life frame, with a sense of responsibility and

responsiveness. The curriculum is designed and enriched with professional support and

participation. The pedagogy is heavily interactive with a practical orientation, thus helping

them in developing their competency and realizing their full potential to contribute to the

social justice alignment of their calling. I take pride in sharing their profiles with you and invite

FROM THE

PLACEMENT DESK

Dr. Queeny Pradhan and Dr.

Gurujit Singh are professors at

USLLS and Chairperson of the

Internship and Placement Cell, and

Co-Ordinator, respectively.

The current batch of 2016-21 is passing out. We look back with a touch of nostalgia

to the batch achievements, events and activities. The brochure showcases the profiles of

individual students of the passing out batch.

Five years in the University School of Law and Legal Studies, GGS Indraprastha

University have been crucial formative years for the students. Their experiences shape their

personality. Regular internships, woven in with their curriculum, prepares them for the

professional world. Their various activities in the different clubs of the University students have

given them a balanced perspective, outside of the law. They have a strong connection with

creative, theatrical, literary and musical pursuits, in addition to the other on-campus students’

cultural festivals.

The students have excellent academic exposure. They have exposure to writing articles

and attending various seminars and conferences at national and international level. They

enthusiastically prepare and participate in moot court competitions. They also like to be

involved in community services undertaken by the legal aid cell. They have also organized and

participated in events of the Constitution Club.

The students of this batch have won many awards, recognitions and accolades. They

are sincere and hardworking, and we wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.
