FISH HANDLING SYSTEMS

A list of equipment used to move fish from sea to boat toTwharf.

SUMMARY

A Regional Industry survey and literature search was

carried out to provide a listing of equipment used in the interna-

tional fishing industry for handling fish from the sea into the boat

and at dockside. The list includes the address of the manufacturers

and the operating principle. The data was collected as part of a pro-

ject on bruising of herring from pumping and handling. The systems

are not evaluated.
