Barnsley’s Families Information Service provides free and confidentialinformation and advice for the whole family.

Use us to find childcare, fun things to do, parenting support,employment advice, information and advice for parents and carers ofdisabled children, financial assistance - in fact, any service which willhelp you in your family life.

For younger children...

• Childcare - from choosing childmindersto out of school clubs, day nurseries topre-schools

• Free childcare searches - matchingvacancies to your individual needs

• 15 hours of funded childcare for all 3&4year olds

• Parent and Toddler Groups

• Information and advice for parents andcarers of disabled children includingshort breaks and other funding

• Finding schools in your area

• What’s on at your local Children’s Centre

• Health and well-being
