TAG YOUR LIFE

Your Orientation Checklist Arrange your room

Work with your roommate to get things organized in your new

home. Don’t forget that you can use the CATA bus to make

trips to buy supplies later if you need to.

Take care of paperworkBe sure to attend one of the Student Employment meetings

if you plan to look for a job on campus. If you missed the

meeting, visit the Office of Human Resources in Bentley Hall

on Monday.

Familiarize yourself with campusTake a look at your class schedule and find each of your

meeting rooms. Pay attention to how long it takes to get from

your room to your classes. Be careful not to confuse Arter

with Alden, or Carr with Carnegie.

Pick up your booksThe College Bookstore will be open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. on

Saturday and Sunday, and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on Monday and

Tuesday, so stock up on books, supplies, and Allegheny

merchandise.

Set your scheduleTake time to figure out what your schedule will be for the first

week. Be sure to think about what time you’ll wake up, eat

your meals, and study.

Relax. The transition to college can be a very busy process! Make

sure you set time aside to unwind and meet some new

friends. Visit the Wise Center to get in a workout, or take a

walk around campus.

Welcome to Allegheny!

We are very excited that you are able to join us for

the Fall 2015 Orientation program! The purpose

of this program is to help you with your transition

to Allegheny by

encouraging you

to connect with

other new students

and families, to

discover the value

of our curricular

and co-curricular

experiences, and to engage with the vast resources

within our campus community.

This schedule is your guide to all the events we’ve

planned for you over the next few days. We hope

that you will find them informative, helpful, and fun!

We encourage you to explore the many facets of

the Allegheny experience: our rigorous academic

curriculum, our supportive campus community, and

much more!

Once again, we are happy to welcome you to the

Allegheny family, and we look forward to making your

transition as smooth as possible.
