Examining Judaism and the Origin of the Six Pointed Star.
We are all familiar with the grotesque character of the misnamed “Star of David,” for we
read in Revelation 13:15 “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the
image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the
image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a
mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast,
or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is
the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
Given the profound, prophetic significance of the six-pointed star, it is important that we
carefully examine the history and meaning of this symbol. We can with profit begin our
examination by eye-opening look at what the Bible reveals.
The Star: Symbol of a Rebellious Nation Whoring After False Gods
In Acts chapter 7 we see that Stephen was the first Christian martyr who was confronted by
angry Jews intending to kill him to shut his mouth. Stephen boldly and courageously stood
up to them and answered their false accusations by preaching a searing sermon. In this
remarkable sermon, whose face and countenance was described “as if it had been that of an
angel,” related the miracles of God’s rescue of the children of Israel from the clutches of
Pharaoh.
Stephen reminded his accusers that, even after God’s righteous mercy to the Israelites, they
would not obey Him but instead resisted and turned back again to the gods and idols of
Egypt, worshipping the “hosts of heaven” (the astrological deities of Satan’s kingdom) and
making a golden calf idol to which they gave sacrifice. What’s more, said Stephen, they
fashioned as an idol the star of these false, demonic gods:
1
Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which
ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon,” (Acts 7:43).
Stephen was not finished and went on to declare to his Jewish assailants that it was their
“fathers” who had always resisted the Holy Ghost and had persecuted and slain the prophets
and the forerunners of Christ. Then, building to an anointed crescendo; Stephen spoke clearly
of their guilt in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, “the Just One; of whom ye have now been the
betrayers and murderers.”
This was too much—their indictment as the “betrayers and murderers” of Jesus. So furious
were the Jews that, “when they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they
gnashed on him with their teeth.”
Imagine these evil and angry men so mad they actually mobbed Stephen and attacked him
like savage wolves, gnashing him with their teeth. Then, the Scriptures record, they screamed
and “ran upon him. . . and stoned him:
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And
when he had said this, he fell asleep.” (Acts 7:60).
The Star and the Prophecies of Amos
Stephen’s sermon was not the first time the people of Israel had been righteously accused of
idolatry and worship of the star by a minister of God. Centuries prior, the prophet Amos
made similar charges:
“But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your
god, which ye made to yourselves.’
“Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose
name is The God of hosts.”(Amos 5:26-27)
Amos went further, too, declaring:
The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the
excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is
therein.
2
And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of
the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee?
and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the
name of the LORD.
For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and
the little house with clefts.
Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned
judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:
Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our
own strength?
But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the
God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the
wilderness.
“And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid
waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.” (Amos 7:9).
Why should God hate “the House of Israel?” How obstinate are these people!
And there are the false gods that the rebellious people of Israel worshipped in vain and so
offended the true God. What can we make of the deities named Moloch, Remphan, and
Chiun, to whom the star served as a symbol of a misplaced devotion?
In answering this question, I believe we will come to an astounding discovery. It is also
understandable that when a people have rejected God, there is no evil they cannot do:
heinous crimes of genocide, sexual slavery, pornography; drug intoxication, lying, fraud and
murders.
Moloch, God of Fire and Human Sacrifice
First, we cast our glance on the god Moloch, to whom the ancient Israelites erected a
tabernacle. According to various encyclopedias and religious reference guides, Moloch (also
Molok, Molech, Malekh, or Moloc) was an ancient Semitic deity. Cultures and ethnic groups
3
throughout the Middle East and North Africa worshipped it, including the Phoenicians, the
Ammonites, the Canaanites, and the Hebrew (Israelites).
Just as in the name Shikinah, there is no use of the name Yahweh for God in the Scriptures,
neither did The Lord God used it for himself. Again, there is also archaeological evidence
that the Hebrews worship of “Yahweh” was actually the worship of Moloch, and, indeed, it is
notable that in the accurate and inspired King James Version of the Holy Bible, the name
“Yahweh” is never once mentioned as a name or title of the Lord God. In addition, the
adherents of Judaism are told God has 72 names known to only the rabbis and sages.
How the Jews Swallowed the Lie of the Serpent
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the
day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good
and evil (Gen. 3:4-5).
According to Helena Blavasky, “The Solar Gods are the Fallen Angels. . . They are the
Serpents of Wisdom. . . Their nature is knowledge and love.”
What is this knowledge and this love?
The Jewish kabbalist teachers are laboring mightily to correct man’s misunderstanding of
God. Simply reading the plain words of the Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament,
they say, will easily confuse and mislead a person. The text therein hides the mysteries which
only they, the learned elders of Zion, can unravel and explain. Thus, the rabbis study the
“secret” meanings concealed in each letter and number. Even the shape of the letters in the
Hebrew alphabet are said to contain hidden message.
The rabbis say, for example, the unlearned might falsely assume that there is one God and he
is good and holy and that, conversely, there is one Adversary, Satan or the Devil, and he is
evil and wicked. This, the Jewish sages confide, is nowhere near the truth. You, as a Jew, or
if you are reading this article, are expected to believe in the rabbinical sages as your wise
teachers, Your rabbis (masters)—only they are able, through their craft and gnosis to peel
4
back the many layers of occult Mystery and reveal to you the true identities and character of
God and Satan.
The rabbis maintain control over ordinary Jews by this stratagem, insisting that simply by
reading the clearly stated words of the Holy Bible you will not comprehend the full meaning
that they, the rabbis and sages, believe exists, hidden and coded. However, we believers
agree with the Apostle Peter who warned us that there is no “private interpretation” to be
discovered in the Scriptures. God’s Holy Spirit is the sole guide and instructor for sincere
Bible students. He is our teacher, not the rabbis and spiritual gurus (John 16:13-15; 14:36).
What is the Code of Hell?
Nevertheless, because the Kabbalah’s teachings as the soul of Judaism, constitutes an
important and authoritative roadmap to understanding the bloody conduct, unholy methods,
and satanic goals of the apostate Jews, it is vital that we delve into its most relevant tenets
and doctrine. A thorough examination of what the Jews are being taught by their chief rabbis
is the most monstrous and diabolical system of lies imaginable. It is presented to them as
supreme wisdom. In it’s entirely it is the Code of Hell. In embracing its tenets, the House of
Israel is buying into the greatest Lie of all.
According to the kabbalist sages, the Supreme God has an inverse god, the other side or
opposite aspect of himself, that mirrors him below, in the nether regions, or worlds we call
“hell” Their God therefore is dual—he is made up of both good and evil, light and darkness.
The Kabbalah teaches that the Most High (En Spoph) is remote and unknowable while his
dual counterpart, the lower deity (Malkut, or Leviathan) is actually god of this world; that is,
he is god (an androgynous “god,” both male and female) or planet earth. And there are other
deities in the Judaic religion as well, female and male.
For those Christians who erroneously believed that the Jews believe in only one God and are
monotheistic, well, welcome to the real world. The rabbis pointed out that in the Old
Testament, the two words most often used for “God” are Schema and Elohim, and that both
are plural. Thus, the kabbalist adept finds nothing peculiar in his doctrine of “tow gods in
one.”
5
However, this perennial dual-deity “As Above, Sp Below” philosophy of the ancient and
modern Mystery Religion that is adopted by the rabbis during their sojourn in ancient
Babylon and later, the Middle Ages, when the Kabbalah came into its own. In the era, during
the flowering of the Renaissance, the Jews in Europe adopted many alchemical and magical
practices and doctrines. The rabbis integrated many of these dark ideas and practices with the
pagan Mystery philosophies they had learned long ago during their Babylonian captivity and
merged them with Orthodoxy. In recent decades, we have experience yet another resurgence
of magic and alchemy as the teachings of the Kabbalah have been embraced and endorsed by
thousands of rabbis and million of lay religious people.
The Bases for the Doctrine of the Devine and Holy Serpent
In these occult Mystery Religion philosophies, the concept of a divine Holy Serpent, or
Dragon, as the reverse and yet equal of the heavenly deity, is a curious but constant fact. The
strange concept forced many rabbis to reconsider the Judaic religion on a macro level. The
rabbinical scholars finally resolved the conflict by adopting the Mysteries, thus viewing and
adopting the Mystery Religion philosophy that God is a duality. They concluded that, yes,
Jehovah is God, but, Lucifer, aka, is the Serpent or Leviathan, is also God in his negative or
inverse aspect. The Serpent, God, they add, is the deity who reigns over the lower realms.
Kabbalah call this the “negative of the negation.”
According to Helena Blavasky, nineteenth century Jewish Russian mystic and founder of
Theosophy, a cult that spread through Europe, the Americas, India and Asia and remains
influential to this day, explained it this way” “Lucifer is the Logos in his highest, and the
‘Adversary” in his lowest aspect” [The Secret Doctrine, Vol. II. P.162). In other words,
Lucifer, the Serpent, is God.
The Christian doctrine holds that while Satan (the Serpent and Dragon) is temporal “god of
this world,” meaning of earth, he is not God of the Universe. Our majestic God is not,
therefore, a dual Taoist entity made up of light and dark, good and evil. True Christianity,
unlike Judaism, affirms that God and Satan are separate and divided; that is, they are two
individual beings: “What communion hath light with darkness?” (2 Cor. 6:14; Isa. 5:20).
6
Based on this Kabbalah doctrine of the dual god, a two-sided combination of the highest and
the lowest (Satan, the Serpent), which violates the clear teachings of the true God, Meister
Fox, formerly a priest of the Roman Catholic Church, says that God resides in the depths and
in the darkness and we must go there to find him: “We sink into the depths and in this depth
we find God, who dwells especially in the depth and in the dark (Original Blessing, p. 162).
Christian Doctrine: In God there is No Darkness
In sum, Christian theology clearly maintains that there is no part of Satan in Jesus Christ;
there is no darkness at all in Jesus Christ. He is the light of the world, and Satan is a distinct
and separate creature. Whereas, at the core of Judaic Kabbalism, we discover that Satan and
God, black and white, good and evil are indivisible and that Satan is the mere inverse of
Jehovah.
The image of the Roman’ pagan supreme god Janus with two faces provides us a picture of
this concept, as does the Oriental Tao and Masonry’s double-headed eagle. Indeed, the
Jewish idea is not unique but is found in all Mystery religions and occult systems of
philosophy.
How is Babylon the Roots of Judaism?
Leo Schaya, in The Universal Meaning of the Kabbalah, says that the wisdom of the
Kabbalah returned to Israel after the captives were set free by Cyrus, Persian conqueror of
Babylon, and some rabbis and many of the people returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the
destroyed Temple.
This is why the Talmud, the Halakah (Law) books of the Jews, are called The Babylonian
Talmud. This is also why centuries later, Jesus, in Jerusalem, bluntly told the Jews that their
religion, Phariseeism, or what we call today “Orthodox Judaism” was based on “man-made
traditions” and not the God-given teachings of the Old Testament prophets. Jesus further said
theirs were the commandments of hell and that new converts to Judaism thus became “twice
the devils” that their teachers were!. What a stunning, yet entirely truthful, indictment of the
Jews’ religion.
7
A Race of Vipers
More pertinent to the discussion at hand is the revelation that the Judaic religion, in its
kabbalistic aspects, literally advocates and practices veneration, admiration, and worship of
the Serpent as Deity. Jesus’ bold and truthful declaration to the Jews was that by their wicked
acts and as a result of their religion being man-made and based on “the traditions of the
elders,” they had proven to be a “generation (that is, a nation of people and offspring) of
vipers.” The Lord’s exact words were:
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (Matt.
23:33; 2Cor. 2:11).
Christian View of Satan
While Christianity acknowledges Satan as temporally leader of the fallen angels and as a
deceiver who often comes to man in disguise as an Angel of Light, in contrast the kabbalists
view him as the Serpent, Leviathan, God of Wisdom, Light bringer. He rises up as a fish-like
being (much like Poseidon) out of the “Sea of Wisdom”
The serpent aspect of the God Jehovah is useful and necessary in the Judaic philosophy and
objectives. The rabbis say that Leviathan brings knowledge to the righteous and, in his
warrior mode, vanquishes the enemies of the Jews. He is, they add, God of Light, and his
light and radiance are those of the “bright and morning star.” He is, to the Jews, Hillel, divine
light.”
The Jews are proud of the fact that Moses, as we read in the Torah, supernaturally turned his
rod into a serpent which then immediately consumed the serpents that had been produced by
the magicians at Pharaoh’s court. The rabbis contend this is an example of how God gives the
Righteous (Jews) serpentine protection through the magical ability to summon serpents from
the lower regions to come and do their bidding. Ultimately, say the rabbis, through
supernatural magic, Leviathan himself will take up their cause, encircle the earth, destroy
their enemies, and finally, server both as Light and of the World and as covering (defender)
for the Holy City of Jerusalem.
8
So we ask, is then, Leviathan, the Holy Serpent of the Jews, the same beast as was
prophesied by Daniel the prophet?
“Thus he said, the fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse
from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in
pieces.”
The Apostle John, too, pictured a beast in the last days, rising out of the sea (Rev. 13:1). Is
this Leviathan, the fish/serpent who, the Jewish Kabbalah says, will some day rise from the
sea? Is this the Oroboros of the Mystery religions, the devouring serpent that encircles and
conquers the earth? In the book of Job 3:8 we are given a very startling description of
Leviathan, however, nowhere is there any hint or any evidence that this monstrous sea
serpent is a deity.
According to Schaya, the “traditions of the elders” –i.e., kabbalistic teachings and
expositions—have all these years been carried out by “the rabbis, spiritual masters: who
oversaw rituals and practices that resulted invitation into the Mysteries.” And what would
these Mysteries be but those Babylonian, Egypt, India, Persia, Greece, and Rome? The
certainly are ot of God but, as Jesus revealed, stamped the Jews as of their father the Devil.
By secretly worshipping and venerating the Serpent, they themselves had become serpents, in
a real but spiritual sense. No wonder the kabbalist rabbi believe that their ancestral and
spiritual father is Dan. He it was who was prophesied to be an “adder” (serpent or viper) who
would bring judgment to his people Israel:
Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way,
an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward (Gen.
49:16-17).
The Great Serpent—Great Secret of Judaism
Thus, the Kabbalah, at its rotten core, contains the ultimate kernel of knowledge to be
discovered in the Mystery teachings—the great secret that the Holy Serpent is God. He is
destined, the rabbis disclose to the initiates, to incarnate the body and mind of their Christ-
Messiah to come. This will be the same one the New Age mystics call the Lord Maitreya,
9
whom the Babylonians knew as Tammuz, and the Greeks as Hermes. Christians who are not
wrapped up in the deceit of idolatrous Zionism recognizes this being for whom he really is.
The antichrist, or beast, given the number 666 (Rev. 13) who is to wreak havoc and usher in
an age of horrors. His power, the Scriptures say, come from the Dragon and Serpent, Satan,
Evidence of Serpent Worship and Veneration
There are many indications of serpent worship and veneration among the Jews. In Jewish
cemeteries, one sometimes finds the Serpent symbolized, indicating the dead person was one
of the “Righteous.” The Talmud, in Baza Meziah 84b and 85a, teaches that serpents
metaphorically encircle the Righteous during their lives. The serpent is claimed to be the
protector—the covering o the Jews.
In Kabbalah’s Sefer Yetzirah, a book that coincidentally, many rabbis claim to have been
written by Moses through automatic writing, the Dragon is exalted as a monarch: “The
Dragon is like a king on his throne.” The Dragon-king , adds the Ser Yetzirah, “rules over the
world of matter and of heavenly bodies.”
This is interesting since the New Testament, in the book of Revelation, describes Satan as
“that old serpent, the dragon,” and as the one who give power to the sinister, end-time beast
that is prophesied to rule over “all kindred’s, and tongues, and nations.”
The Wikipedia article further reveals that the Kabbalah is closely associated with the various
Gnostic systems in which the dragon is an important fact of world history and events. The
word “Kabbalah,” in the Hebrew language literally means “curled on”—as a coiled serpent.
Thus, the Jews have by this name chosen to identify the books that compromise many of their
most sacred religious teachings with the coiled serpent, that is to say, with the Devil.
The more kabbalistically advanced reveal that the Hasidic, Orthodox Jewish men wear black
and have their hair hanging down from their skull caps in curls in honor of Leviathan, their
serpent deity. This astonishing serpentine link is apparently something that the Jewish
rabbinical authorities would rather Gentiles, and even the majority of ignorant but trusting
unlearned Jews, not know.
10
Descending Into the Abode of the Serpent Eventually Leads to Heaven
Leo Schaya, authoritative author of The Universal Meaning of Kabbalah (1971), writes that
in Kabbalah theology, there are “seven palaces” on the side of impurity, i.e., in hell.
Strangely—or may be not so strangely, Schaya comments that the person descending down
into the depths of hell finds that as he descends he, ironically, actually ascends. In drawing
ever closer to the surface of the circular shaped Abyss that is hell, he reaches this upper
boundary where he finds “windows opening into the Empire of holy light,” ostensibly
Heaven. This is because, according to Schaya, the Kabbalah says, “In time to come—a
moment of universal redemption—God will cause it (hell) to disappear from the world.”
Now let us recap what the Kabbalah says about hell, the abode of Satan, the serpent and
dragon, and his helpers and henchmen. First, hell is called the “Seven Palaces.” Second, the
deeper you sink in it—the lower you go—the closer you get to the sublime Heaven (Schaya
says one’s journey through hell is “circular,” like the Oroboros Serpent—the end of which
meets the beginning). Third, even if your sojourn on earth is flawed and imperfect, you will
not be there, in hell, for all of eternity. Even the wicked of sinners will be redeemed! At some
future time, Hell will disappear.
According to Kabbalah, Hell is the bright hope of the wicked. Traveling through the abyss—
also known in Judaism as the “bottomless pit” or the “belly” of the supreme, unknowable
God, En Soph—everyone, (Jews, that is; Gentiles apparently excluded) will eventually take
the circular route, and end up above in Paradise, or Heaven.
The Lure: The Mystery Teachings
You may have accurately surmised by now that the Jews, in the Kabbalah, teach
transmigration of the soul, reincarnation. The Kabbalah call this “Gilgul,” when a person’s
“grave faults and omissions” (sins) committed during his earthly existence must be repaired.
One is not surprised, therefore, to find many commonalities between the various Oriental
religions, including Buddhism, Hinduism, and Judaism. Schaya, in the Universal Meaning of
11
the Kabbalah, notes these commonly held beliefs, explaining that he has rediscovered these
Eastern teachings, the so called perennial philosophy, in the Kabbalah.
Just as in the Eastern religions the adherent and believer in kabbalistic Judaism is told he
must avail himself of a guru, a mahatma, or imam to guide his path to enlightenment. The
student of Kabbalah and Judaism is instructed he must have a wise Jewish rabbi sage to be
tutor and high priest. The books of Kabbalah are touted as containing esoteric, hidden
wisdom. Schaya calls it the reception of pure wisdom, intended for the spiritual elect of
Israel,” and as “the Mysteries hidden since the beginning of time.”
Is Judaism the Mystery Religion?
Ancient Mystery religions particularly worshipped the Serpent as divine, and Judaism
borrowed from these ancient teachings during their Babylonian captivity and sojourned in
Babylon and after Jeremiah’s time. The Babylonians, Egyptians and the North African
Ophites were deep into this strange and bizarre cultism. Throughout Mexico, Central and
South America, the indigenous peoples worship the Serpent by such names as Quetzalcoatl
and Kukulcan. In many of these ancient religions and cultures, the high priests visualize the
Serpent-God to be in the form of circle, with the end of the serpent’s tail inside the mouth of
the beast. This was the Oroboros, a worm, snake, or dragon.
The symbol of the Oroboros, the devouring serpent, is embraced by the kabbalist masters as a
picture of the Jewish Nation or people. The Holy Serpent plays a major—if not the major role
in Judaism, the Pharisaic religion of the modern day Jews. Among the most devoted of
Jewish kabbalists (or cabalists), the Serpent is held to be a co-equal with God. Indeed, he is
the flip side of Jehovah.
Jehovah is said to be a cruel and oppressive deity whose strict rules and laws must be obeyed
if he is to be appeased. In contrast, Jehovah’s “other half” the Serpent, whom they call
Lucifer, is a god of freedom of enlightenment and liberty. Whereas Jehovah is merciless and
foreboding, the Serpent god is claimed to be freespirited; he encourages pleasure and his
motto is, “Do as thou wilt.”
12
Judaism Embraces Sabbatianism
This concept of mixing good with evil came into full flower in 17th century with the
emergence of a movement called Sabatianism. The Sabbatians, a Judaic cult that sprang up in
1666 with the growing and widespread popularity of a Gnostic rabbi, Sabbata Zvi (or Zvei),
taught that man could not be truly religious and holy unless he had tasted of both darkness
and light (“As Above, So Below”). The more sins and evil experience by the disciple, the
more glorious and profound his enlightenment. In other words, the spiritual man can only
evolve by descending to the depths of hell, to find there a hidden light, and occult light
shinning with greater intensity than the noonday sun. He proceeds on his initiatory downward
path until divinity is achieved.
The Masonic Lodges Worship the Holy Serpent
In the classic book, A Bridge to Light, written by Rex Hutchens, 33 degree, and published in
1982 by the Supreme Mother council of the Scottish Rite, Washington D.C, the Mason is
given a brief synopsis of the arcane knowledge to be attained by candidate for each of the
Lodge’s first 32 degrees. For the 32nd degree, the candidate receives knowledge of the Holy
Trinity of Masonry. This trinity is explained as the three aspects of the deity and it states that
he is worshipped by various names. The trinities of Hinduism and Zoroastrianism are given
as examples. But, the candidate is told, it is the Holy Serpent that is represented by these
various titles. The Holy Serpent is the God of Forces honored and adored by the Masons. It is
the same god that shall be honor by the antichrist (Dan. 11:38-39).
Masonry is Jewish, as evidenced both in its ritual ceremonies and its expansive body of
literature (see Albert Pike’s Morals and Dogma) as well as the six pointed star (Star of
David) emblem found everywhere adorning in Lodge and Temple architecture. Therefore, we
should not find it unusual the fact that the kabbalistic Serpent is the god of the Satan-
possessed, high degree Freemason.
The evil, last days ruler, a god-man or king whose power comes from Satan [the Dragon is,
in the Kabbalah and other Mystery teachings, said to be a “Dragon of Wisdom.” He is called
13
Leviathan by the Jews, but goes by many names, including that of Apollyon or Abaddon.
Helena Blavasky, the Jewish mystic who found the esoteric Theosophy cult, spoke of him in
her classic occult book, The Secret Doctrine (pp. 472-473). http://books.google.com/books?

The rabbis who today are the most popular among the devout are those who combine the
Kabbalah and Talmud with the Kabbalah increasingly being considered by Judaism’s
followers the superior wisdom and the Talmud the lower receptacle, or body of laws.
Obedience to the Talmud (the lower Mysteries) renders a Jew eligible for reward in the here
ad now and in the world to come (the Jewish Utopia on earth). But in the religion and
philosophies of Judaism the Kabbalah is the supreme instrument of initiation into the Higher
Mysteries, which, the rabbis promise, bring the complete initiate bliss, pleasure, material
wealth, and ultimately, divine god status. The lure of Kabbalah, to the Jew who hungers for
Gnosis, who is obsessed with the desire to taste the Mysteries is irresistible.
The irresistibility of Kabbalah drives the candidate for initiation inexorably onward through
the fog of mysticism that envelops this strange system of sorcery and witchcraft until, finally,
his mind clouded and bereft of discernment, the student has mastered the art and chaos of
doube mindedness. When he is ready he shall confess that, “Yes Adonai (Jehovah) is God,
but Leviathan (the Serpent) is also God. “This is the ages-old tenet of alchemy: As Above, so
Below. It is what Georg Orwell’s classic, 1984, called “blackwhite.”
"A Bridge to Light": A Book Review and
AN EXAMINATION OF THE RELIGIOUS TEACHINGS OF THE SCOTTISH RITE
During the 1993 Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in Houston, Texas, the SBC received a report from the then Home Mission Board (HMB) on Freemasonry. The report from the HMB identified A Bridge to Light, by Rex Hutchens, as one of the Masonic writings that is "undeniably pagan and/or occultic" [Annual of the Southern Baptist Convention Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Three, p. 226]. The North American Mission Board (NAMB) Interfaith Evangelism Team, in this booklet, takes a closer look at A Bridge to Light. There are several reasons for this critique. First, A Bridge to Light is an official publication of The Supreme
14
Council, 33rd degree Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, United States of America. Second, it is a contemporary publication. Third, the book is strongly recommended by C. Fred Kleinknecht, 33rd degree, Sovereign Grand Commander, Scottish Rite Freemasonry. Kleinknecht writes in the Foreword of the 1988 edition: "I believe that the publication of this work could truly be the dawning of a new day in our Jurisdiction" [p. vii]. Fourth, the book was unanimously approved by the Scottish Rite Committee on Rituals and Ceremonial Forms [p. ii]. And last, the book is now given to all candidates for Scottish Rite degrees [Jim Tresner, "Perspectives, Responses & Reflections" (Unpublished article, n.d.), p. 20].
A Bridge to Light presents the rituals and religious teachings of the Scottish Rite. In the second edition of A Bridge to Light, the following disclaimer was added to the Foreword of the book: "Every one is entirely free to reject and dissent from whatsoever herein may seem to him to be untrue or unsound. It is only required of him that he shall weigh what is taught, and give it fair hearing and unprejudiced judgment" [p. vii]. This disclaimer means that Scottish Rite Masons do not have to believe the teachings found in A Bridge to Light. However, the disclaimer does not change the fact that the leaders of the Scottish Rite (Southern Jurisdiction) publish, endorse, and present for the consideration of its members the interpretations found in A Bridge to Light.
Scottish Rite Freemasonry claims to teach religious truth [pp. vii, 3]. It is a legitimate question to ask whether its teachings are compatible with Christianity.
"A Bridge to Light" Denies Certainty in Religious Truth Claims
A Bridge to Light denies the certainty of religious truth claims [p. 9]. A Bridge to Light also endorses the idea that religious truth is relative [p. 69]. In addition, Scottish Rite Freemasonry teaches that dogmatic certainty is impossible [p. 103]. According to A Bridge to Light, "perfect truth is not attainable anywhere" [p. 107].
Response: While Scottish Rite Freemasonry claims that certainty in matters of truth is impossible, the Bible teaches otherwise. Jesus, for example, taught that while the Samaritans worshiped a false religion, God's salvation would come from the Jews (see John 4:22). Likewise, Peter and Paul warned their readers of the errors of the pagans and taught the possibility of religious certainty (see Rom. 1:18,25; 2 Thess. 2:10-11; 2 Tim. 3:8; 1 Pet. 4:3). The apostles not only taught the possibility of religious certainty, but they also claimed to have found truth in the Person of Jesus Christ. But Jesus claimed to be both "the way, and the truth" (John 14:6).

"A Bridge to Light" Argues Against Fearing God
"A Bridge to Light" teaches that God is a God of love who should not be feared. "'I put my trust in God,' is the protest of Masonry against the belief in a cruel, angry, and revengeful God, to be feared and not reverenced by His creatures" [Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, p. 196, quoted in A Bridge to Light(BTL), p. 85]. According to A Bridge to Light, the belief that God should be feared belonged to a primitive time. In these enlightened times, Scottish Rite Masons are taught that a God of love should not be feared [p. 92].
Response: There is no incompatibility between the biblical teaching that we are to fear God and the biblical teaching that God is loving. Scottish Rite Freemasonry has set up a false dichotomy. The Bible clearly teaches that we are to fear the Lord God (see 2 Chron. 19:7; Pss. 19:9; 34:11; 111:10; Prov. 14:27; 15:16). The biblical principle of "the fear of the Lord" is also found in the New Testament. Jesus taught that we are to fear God (see Luke 12:4-5). The denial of this biblical principle by Scottish Rite Freemasonry is contrary to the teachings of Christ.
A Bridge to Light Falsely Claims that Christianity Affirms Dualism
A Bridge to Light misrepresents Christian doctrine in several areas. For example, it claims that Christianity accepts the principle of dualism as taught by Zoroaster [p. 311]. Zoroaster was an ancient Iranian false prophet who founded the religion called Zoroastrianism. He taught that there are two equal and mutually hostile forces in the world. One is the source of all good, while the other is the source of all evil. [Walter A. Elwell, ed. Baker's Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology, (Grand Rapids: Baker Book House Co., 1984), p. 334]. Scottish Rite Freemasonry embraces belief in this type of dualism. According to A Bridge to Light, dualism is found in both the teachings and symbols of the Scottish Rite [pp. 18, 81, 133].
Response: The concept of the universe as a duality is incompatible with biblical Christianity. Christian theologian Millard J. Erickson writes that "the biblical teaching on creation disallows any type of dualism" [Millard J. Erickson, Christian Theology, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1983), p. 371]. Dualism is incompatible with Christianity because it rejects the Christian belief that God is all-powerful (omnipotent). The religion of Zoroastrianism rejects the omnipotence of God because of its belief in dualism [Christian Theology, p. 414]. A Bridge to Light's claim that Christianity derived its belief in dualism from Zoroastrianism is untrue both historically and theologically.

A Bridge to Light Claims It Is Impossible to Have Knowledge of God
In its commentary on the 24th degree, A Bridge to Light claims that it is impossible to form any conception of God. It rules out any descriptive knowledge of God [p. 218]. A Bridge to Light claims: "This knowledge defied expression in ordinary language; even to attempt it was dangerous because the use of adjectives ordinarily describing men when used to describe the Deity tended to lessen Him" [p. 248].
Response: While finite human beings will never fully comprehend the infinite God, it is not true that we are "utterly powerless to form any conception of what He is" [p. 218]. The Bible not only indicates that we can form accurate conceptions about God, but it also teaches that we can know God to the point of having a personal relationship with Him. The Bible uses many adjectives to describe God. God is portrayed as light (see 1 John 1:5), love (see 1 John 4:8,16), eternal (see Deut. 33:27; Rev. 4:8-10), immortal (see Rom. 1:23; 1 Tim. 6:16), almighty (see Gen. 17:1; Ex. 6:3), all-knowing (see Ps. 139:1-6; Prov. 5:21), unchanging (see Ps. 102:26-27; Jas. 1:17), wise (see Rom. 16:27), perfect (see Deut. 32:4; Matt. 5:48), holy (see Ps. 99:9), just (see Deut. 32:4; Isa. 45:21), true (see Jer. 10:10; John 17:3), good (see Pss. 25:8; 92:15), righteous (see Ezra 9:15; Pss. 119:68; 145:17), gracious and compassionate (see Ex. 34:6; Ps. 116:5), and faithful (see 1 Cor. 10:13; 1 Pet. 4:19). The Bible regularly uses adjectives that A Bridge to Light calls dangerous "even to attempt."
A Bridge to Light Teaches a False Trinity
Scottish Rite Freemasonry claims to believe in the doctrine of the Trinity [pp. 227-28, 230, 234, 236-37, 255, 316]. A Bridge to Light even refers to the "Masonic Trinity." However, when it describes the Trinity, it becomes clear that it is not referring to the same Trinity believed by Christians [p. 227]. "They may also -e seen as symbols of Faith, Hope and Charity, which are the virtues of man. These three virtues are expanded into what Pike calls the Masonic Creed, a concept of Trinity which brings to mind the Nicene Creed of Christianity discussed in the ceremony section" [p. 234].
Scottish Rite Freemasonry views the three Persons of the Christian Trinity as the first three emanations of a gnostic and occultic manifestation of Deity [pp. 133, 139, 236, 255]. A Bridge to Light redefines the meaning of the Trinity to the point where it claims to find the doctrine within all of the world's major religions [p. 228]. Scottish Rite Freemasonry uses the assumed existence of the Trinity in other religions to justify teaching its candidates about several non-Christian faiths. The candidate is instructed that several pagan deities are similar to the Christian Trinity. These include such pagan deities as Agni, Indra,
17
Vishnu, Brahma, Shiva, the Buddhas, Ahura Mazda, Spenta Mainyu, Vohumano, Mithra, Odin, Frea, Thor, Kneph, Khem, Amun, Ainsoph, Kether, Hakemah, and Binah [pp. 230-31]. This pagan understanding of the Trinity is also seen in its discussion of the 32nd degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry in A Bridge to Light [p. 316].
Response: Christianity does not believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are "emanations" of the Trinity. The three Persons of the Holy Trinity are not the "first three" of 10 emanations as claimed by A Bridge to Light. The concept of emanations proceeding from God is a pagan and Gnostic concept that is not compatible with Christianity. Since Gnosticism believed that the material world was evil, it taught that the Supreme Being could not have created the material universe. Gnosticism, therefore, postulated a series of emanations from the Supreme Being. It was one of these emanations, not the Supreme Being, who created the evil material world [Baker's Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology, p. 181].
The Christian doctrine of the Trinity is also not the belief that God has three attributes. The "Masonic Trinity" is a complete misrepresentation of the Christian belief. This teaching, found in the lessons of the 26th Degree, is false. Christianity is the only religion that believes in the Holy Trinity [Christian Theology, p. 321]. The only way Scottish Rite Freemasonry can claim that the Trinity is not unique to Christianity is to redefine the doctrine so that it becomes something Christians have never believed. This misrepresentation of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity is very objectionable. To compare the Triune God of Christianity with the Hindu deities Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva is not only blasphemous, but also completely misrepresents Christian doctrine [pp. 230-31]. The Bible teaches that followers of the true and living God are not to follow after the false gods of the pagans (see Gen. 35:2; Ex. 23:13; Josh. 23:7; Ezek. 20:7; 1 Cor. 10:20).
Scottish Rite Freemasonry not only misrepresents Christian doctrine, but it also distorts non-Christian religions when it falsely claims that they also believe in the Trinity. A Bridge to Light is incorrect when it argues that the doctrine of the Trinity is a universal truth of man [p. 236]. To maintain this position, it has to misrepresent the beliefs of both Christianity and the pagan religions. Its contention that the Trimurti of the Hindus is similar to the Christian Trinity is again both simplistic and false [Geoffrey Parrinder, "Triads," The Encyclopedia of Religion 15, ed., Mircea Eliade (New York: Macmillian Publishing Co., 1987), p. 40]. The Trimurti of the Hindus has nothing in common with the God of Christianity.
18
A Bridge to Light Denies the Uniqueness of Jesus
According to A Bridge to Light, Jesus of Nazareth was not unique. The book teaches that Jesus was just one messiah among the many messiahs found in the world's religions. Jesus is placed on the same level as the pagan deities Dionysus, Sosiosch, Krishna, and Osiris. "We see references to Dionysius [sic] of the Greeks, Sosiosch of the Persians, Krishna of the Hindus, Osiris of the Egyptians, Jesus of the Christians. The purpose of these varying cultures' messiahs was to find in human form a source of intercession with Deity; in particular one who, as a human, had been tempted and suffered the daily pangs of life and so could be expected to possess a particular sympathy and understanding; in a word, the messiahs expressed hope" [pp. 112-13].
Response: The comparison of Jesus Christ to the pagan deities Dionysus, Sosiosch, Krishna, and Osiris denigrates the deity of Christ. The words of Hebrews 2:18 apply to Christ and Christ alone. The Bible teaches that Jesus is unique. He is not just one messiah among many (see John 3:36; Acts 4:12; 1 Tim. 2:5). A Bridge to Light attempts to read into these pagan religions Christian concepts that never existed.
A Bridge to Light Confuses Pagan Deities with the One True God
A Bridge to Light does not distinguish between the true God of the Bible and the deities of the pagan world. It indicates that the only distinction between the God of the Bible and those of the pagans is a difference of terminology [pp. 31, 120]. For example, A Bridge to Light calls Albar of the Druse "the Most High, or the Deity" [p. 219]. In the 31st degree, Amun-ra is called "this great God." A Bridge to Light quotes the following words in its discussion of the 31st degree:
"they do not behold the great god Amun-ra their eyes do not imbibe the rays that flow from his disktheir souls shall not be manifested or made illustrious in the worldthey shall not hear the voice of this great God,who is exalted far above their sphere" [p. 301].
Response: A Bridge to Light does not distinguish between the deities of the pagans and the true God of the Bible. The gods and goddesses of the pagans were not just different cultural representations of the one true God. The gods and goddesses of the pagans, and their representative idols, are false deities, which the Bible totally rejects (see Ex. 20:4-5). The Bible also rejects the idea that the pagans simply worshiped the one true God but used different names (see Ex. 32:4-8).
19
No idol or pagan deity is a representation of the true God. They are all false deities and must be rejected by Christians. The differences between the God of the Bible and the gods and goddesses of the pagans are far greater than just a difference of terminology.
A Bridge to Light Teaches that Truth Is Found Within
A Bridge to Light teaches that the soul of man is part of God [p. 220]. Therefore, it claims that religious truth can be found "by seeking ever deeper within ourselves" [p. 90].
Since A Bridge to Light teaches that humanity is part of God, it rejects the idea that human nature is evil or sinful. A Bridge to Light quotes Pike as claiming, "The heart of man craves only justice and love. Men are good. Evil institutions alone have made them bad" [Legenda XIX-XXX, pp. 168-169, quoted in BTL, p. 292].
Response: The Bible warns us that "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked" (Jer. 17:9-see also Pss. 51:5; 53:2-3). Likewise, Jesus cautioned us that evil thoughts and deeds do not come from outside a person but from within (see Matt. 15:19; Mark 7:21). The assertion by Pike, that "the heart of man craves only justice and love" directly contradicts the teachings of the Bible [p. 292]. Jesus taught that human hearts have a tendency toward sin and evil. He also instructed His disciples that this tendency toward evil is not only caused by outward influences, but also by the evil desires of the human heart. The Bible warns us that human beings are not good (see Rom. 3:23).
A Bridge to Light also errs when it claims that "the soul of man is part of the Divine" [p. 220]. The Bible teaches us that humans were created in the image of God (see Gen. 1:26-27). However, the Bible never instructs us that humans are a part of God. The Bible instead stresses the distinction between God and humanity (see Num. 23:19; 1 Sam. 15:29). When God created human beings, He made something that was not Himself. This is the heart of the Christian understanding of creation.
Influence of Pagan Religions on Scottish Rite Symbolism and Ritual Admitted by A Bridge to Light
According to A Bridge to Light, the symbolism of Freemasonry has been influenced by several pagan and occultic groups [p. 1]. The influence of these pagan and occultic groups can be found in several Scottish Rite rituals. In its discussion of the 9th degree, A Bridge to Light claims that one of this degree's symbols originated in the mystical and occult school of the Jewish Kabalah [pp. 56-57]. Commenting on the 17th degree, A Bridge to Light quotes Pike, who indicates that two of the colors used in the degree are emblems of the sun and
20
moon, which in turn are representations of the pagan deities Osiris and Isis [Morals and Dogma, p. 202, quoted in BTL, p. 133]. A Bridge to Light also claims that the 24th degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry focuses on the mystery religions of the ancient world. Candidates for this degree are invited to compare the teachings of Masonry with these mystery religions [pp. 206-07]. In the commentary on the 28th degree, we are informed by A Bridge to Light that the eye of gold is a "symbol of the sun or of the Deity" [p. 247]. The book also explains the symbol of the gnostic worm as it is used in Scottish Rite Freemasonry [p. 251]. Of all the degrees of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, the 31st degree probably has the greatest uses of pagan symbolism. As A Bridge to Light explains, the ritual of the 31st degree is derived from the Egyptian Book of the Dead [pp. 299-300]. According to A Bridge to Light, Isis directs the Masonic candidate to "the altar of the great god Khem, the source of life" [p. 302].
Response: Isis was the chief goddess in the ancient pantheon of Egypt. Her worship was so popular that the cult of Isis was one of the last mystery cults to survive [Leonard H. Lesko, "Isis," The Encyclopedia of Religion 7, ed., Mircea Eliade (New York: Macmillan Publishing Co., 1987), p. 302]. Christians must reject the statement that the pagan god Khem is "the source of life." The New Testament instructs us that it is Jesus, not "the great god Khem," who is the true source of life (see John 6:35,48,51; 11:25; 14:6).
The recognition and respect accorded these Egyptian deities in A Bridge to Light is highly objectionable. Among these deities are gods and goddesses that are condemned in the Bible. For example, the ninth plague in which God brought darkness on the land of Egypt (see Ex. 10:21-29) was an insult directed toward Thoth, one of the moon gods [John J. Davis, Moses and the Gods of Egypt (Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1971), p. 128].
It is highly objectionable to Christians that Scottish Rite Freemasonry includes references to these deities in its rituals. The Bible warns its readers that they are to have nothing to do with Egyptian deities. No Christian should ever participate in any ceremony or ritual that involves pagan deities (see Ex. 12:12; Deut. 32:16; Josh. 24:14; Jer. 43:12-13; 46:25).
Scottish Rite Uses the Occult as a Source of Religious Truth
In addition to using pagan religions as a source for its teachings, Scottish Rite Freemasonry also has employed several occult sources. For example, astrology, which is a form of occult divination, is spoken highly of by A Bridge to Light. The book even claims that the biblical character Enoch was learned in astrology [pp. 88-89].
21
According to A Bridge to Light, the 28th degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry studies the occultic practices of numerology, astrology, and alchemy [p. 158]. The book also claims that the signs of the occultic zodiac are found in the 19th degree and associates them with the 12 tribes of Israel [pp. 163, 165].
A Bridge to Light claims that the occultic symbol of the pentagram is associated with the Greek characters "Alpha and Omega," a biblical title for Jesus (see Rev. 1:8; 21:6; 22:12-13). Concerning this symbol, A Bridge to Light states, "It is the symbol of the Divine in man" [pp. 205-06].
Response: The Bible warns its readers that they are to have nothing to do with the occult (see Ex. 7-8; Deut. 18:10-13; Lev. 19:31; 1 Sam 28; Jer. 27:9; Ezek. 13:23; Zech. 10:2; Acts 16:16-18; Col. 2:8). The claim made by A Bridge to Light that the biblical character Enoch was learned in astrology is not supported by the Christian Scriptures. The book is disingenuous when it leaves its readers with this impression. It refers the reader to Genesis 5:23-24, which states that "Enoch walked with God," and then A Bridge to Light states, "We are told he . . . was learned in astronomy and astrology" [p. 89]. The implication of this statement is that astrology is compatible with walking with God. The Bible, however, indicates that this in not true. Astrology is a form of divination, and the Bible warns its readers that God considers divination an abomination (see Deut. 18:10-13).
The statements made about Genesis 49 and astrology also falsely imply that Jacob was a practitioner of astrology. A reading of Genesis 49 reveals that astrology is not the subject matter of this biblical passage. The statement found in A Bridge to Light that the 12 tribes of Israel are associated with the 12 signs of the astrological zodiac is both false and offensive.
Even more offensive is the claim made by A Bridge to Light that the Greek letters Alpha and Omega are representative of the divine in man. According to the book of Revelation, the Greek letters Alpha and Omega do not represent the divine in man but rather represent the God- Man Jesus Christ. When Jesus claims to be the Alpha and Omega, He is making a unique claim for personal divinity (see Rev. 1:8; 21:6; 22:12-13). He is not claiming that all humans are divine, as claimed by A Bridge to Light [pp. 205-06]. It should also be pointed out that the pentagram is one of the most common symbols of the occult and is used in countless magick rituals. Masons may use it to symbolize humanity, but other groups give this occultic symbol entirely different meanings. Satanists, for example, use the upside-down pentagram to represent Satan [Anton Szandor LaVey, The Satanic Bible (New York: Avon Books, 1969), pp. 129-30].
22
A Bridge to Light Teaches a Works Salvation
One teaching of A Bridge to Light that is incompatible with Christianity is "the implication that salvation may be attained by one's good works" [SBC Annual, 1993, p. 227]. There are many examples of this teaching in A Bridge to Light [p. 92]. For example, the book claims that immortality is "won by suffering and sorrow" [p. 142]. Its discussion on the 19th degree informs the reader that "a man's actions are a bridge to his own immortality and to the future of mankind" [p. 165]. Likewise, in the material on the 24th degree, the reader learns that "reformation and repentance wash away sin" [p. 204]. In the 27th degree, the reader is told that "honor and service to others" is the "path of salvation" [p. 243].
The 31st degree recreates the ancient myth of the Egyptian Court of the Dead, where it is determined whether the soul of a dead person will be allowed "to enter into the kingdom of the gods" [p. 299]. In this degree, the Scottish Rite candidate is told that the actions of the dead determine whether they deserve to dwell with the gods in the afterlife [pp. 300-01]. According to the 31st degree, the hope of eternal life is to live a "most virtuous" life while on the earth [p. 301]. The 31st degree also endorses the belief that one's eternal destiny is determined by weighing one's good works and bad deeds to determine whether one is worthy to go to heaven [p. 302].
Response: The belief that one can do something to make oneself acceptable to God is a belief common to many false religions. Human nature leads people to believe that there is something they can do to earn eternal life. The Bible, however, informs us that this belief is wrong. The Bible warns us that there is nothing that we can do to make ourselves acceptable to God. Salvation is obtained on God's terms, not by what may appear right to humans.
The Bible informs us that salvation is the result of the grace of God and that this grace comes to us when we personally place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible also warns us that the grace of God is incompatible with any type of works salvation (see Rom. 3:27; 4:4; 11:6; Gal. 2:21; 5:4; Eph. 2:8; Titus 3:5).
The teaching that salvation is the result of good works (which is found in A Bridge to Light) is highly objectionable to Christians. It is objectionable because it contradicts the teaching of Scripture. It also gives people the false hope that through their good actions they may be found acceptable in the eyes of God. This teaching of Scottish Rite Freemasonry is
23
incompatible with the Bible because it does not point to faith in Christ as the only hope of salvation (see John 3:16).
Conclusion
The conclusion of this study is that many of the religious teachings presented in A Bridge to Light are incompatible with biblical Christianity.
Freemasonry… Behind closed doors
A Biblical Look at The LodgeThere have been many questions regarding the compatibility of Freemasonry and
Christianity. The claim of every Mason is that Masonry and Christianity are totally
compatible.
They say that religion is the experience of relating to God, and Masonry is the experience of
relating to mankind. While separate, they can and do naturally co-exist. Well, if
Freemasonry is truly what it professes publicly, then "Bravo!" It is a welcome fellowship.
If it is being deceptive, or as some claim, a serious danger to the Mason, his or her family and
Church, then it should be exposed as such. It is that simple. Let's look at just a few of the
Lodge's basic principles in the Light of Biblical truth
NO OTHER GODS!
"And God spoke all these words: "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt,
out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.
"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the
earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for
I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to
the third and fourth generation of those who hate me," ( Exodus 20:1-5 )
This is the first and primary Commandment! All other commandments find their reason in it.
God put it at the top of the list for a reason! If you have a faulty view of God, your whole
spiritual perspective is skewed by that error. Listen again to God:
24
"This is what the LORD says-- Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the
first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. " (Isaiah 44:6)
If your view of God is anything but that which God, Himself has declared above, your view
is not Christian orthodoxy. If your view of Christ is not that which is equally Biblically
based, your view of Christ is just as filled with danger. Let's see what the Masonic fraternity,
itself has to say about the nature of God.
FREEMASONS BOW AT EVERY ALTAR
"The true Mason is not creed-bound. He realizes with the divine illumination of his lodge that
as a Mason his religion must be universal: Christ, Buddha, or Mohammed, the name means
little, for he recognizes only the light and not the bearer. He worships at every shrine, bows
before every altar, whether in temple, mosque or cathedral, realizing with his truer
understanding the oneness of all spiritual truth." (The Lost Keys of Freemasonry, Manly P.
Hall, 33o, p.65, Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supply Co., Richmond, VA., 1976.)
“Everything good in nature comes from OSIRIS—order, harmony, and the favorable
temperature of the seasons and celestial periods.” (Morals and Dogma, Albert Pike, 1956,
page 476)
Osiris was the ancient Egyptian god whose annual death and resurrection personified the self-
renewing vitality and fertility of nature. “The All Seeing Eye” is a Masonic representation of
Osiris.
THE BIBLE SAYS
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except
through me. " ( John 14:6 )
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"
( 1Tim. 2:5 )
Is Jesus Christ Lord?
In Mystic Masonry, by J. D. Buck, the following Masonic teaching is found:
"It is far more important that men should strive to become Christs than that they should
believe that Jesus was Christ." (page 62)
25
"The perfect man is Christ: and Christ is God. This is the birth-right and destiny of every
human soul." (page 86)
THE BIBLE SAYS
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by
which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
“Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the
Father and the Son.” (1 John 2:22)
OUR LORD AMONG THE BAALIM
"Masonry, around whose altars the Christian, the Hebrew, the Moslem, the Brahmin, the
followers of Confucius and Zoroaster, can assemble as brethren and unite in prayer to the one
God who is above ALL the Baalim, must needs leave it to each of its initiates to look for the
foundation of his faith and hope to the written scriptures of his own religion." (Morals and
Dogma, Albert Pike, 1956, page 226)
[Ed note : The word "Baalim," is simply defined as "false god or idol." The Masonic
author has included the God of the Christian in that category.]
THE BIBLE SAYS
“You shall have no other gods before Me.” (Deut 5:7)
“Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods, and
serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.”
(Deut 8:19)
“Turn now everyone from his evil way, amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to
serve them;” (Jer 35:15)
BOUND BY BLOOD OATHS
From the initiation rituals of the "BLUE LODGES" and through all 33 degrees of
Freemasonry, every Mason in the world is bound by bloody oaths to maintain the secrets of
the Lodge. These binding oaths are kept through the spirit of fear, because the penalties for
26
betraying the brethren of the lodge include serious physical harm to the Mason. Look at them
from the perspective of Christ's admonition.
The oath sworn by the Entered Apprentice or first degree:
"…binding myself under no less penalty than that of having my throat cut across, my tongue
torn out by its roots, and my body buried in the rough sands of the sea, at low water mark."
The Master Mason swears,"…under no less penalty than that of having my body severed in
two, my bowels taken from thence and burned to ashes, the ashes scatter before the four
winds of heaven…" (Duncan's Ritual of Freemasonry, 3rd Ed., pp. 35 396, David McKay
Pub., New York, NY)
THE BIBLE SAYS
Jesus, speaking again to His disciples, clearly dealt with this exact situation.
" There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made
known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have
whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. "I tell you, my
friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will
show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to
throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. " (Luke 12:2-5 )
"Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, `Do not break your oath, but
keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by
heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is
the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one
hair white or black. Simply let your `Yes' be `Yes,' and your `No,' `No'; anything beyond this
comes from the evil one. ( Matt. 5:33 -37 )
That was Jesus Himself talking to those who believed on Him. Surely, it would be a foolish
Christian who would defy the Lord in such a serious matter. What earthly thing would be
worth violating a direct instruction from our Savior? None! It is not an isolated warning.
(Read James 5:12 :
“But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other
oath. But let your "Yes," be "Yes," and your "No," "No," lest you fall into judgment.”
27
TRUSTING THE BIBLE
“The teachers, even of Christianity, are, in general, the most ignorant of the true meaning of
that which they teach. There is no book of which so little is known as the Bible. To most
who read it, it is as incomprehensible as the Sohar.” (Morals and Dogma, Albert Pike, 1956,
page 105)
The Bible Says
We do well to know the Word Of God. As Jesus prayed to the Father for His disciples, His
prayer was: " Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.". ( John 17:17)
The Bible clearly teaches that the mature Chrstian must be grounded in God's Word. This is
probably the most grievious error of those enmeshed in the web of Freemasonry. It is the
ignorance of or lack of regard for the truth of God's Holy Word.
What true Christian man (or woman) would dare go through the rituals of Freemasonry
knowing that someday, he or she would have to stand before a Holy God and account for
those acts of darkness. Let me give you a few examples.
THE JUDGMENT OF THE DAMNED
The grave, Christless end awaiting members of the Masonic order can be demonstarted by
the Apron Lecture, given every Mason in the Blue Lodge Ceremony. The following quote
can be found almost word for word in most Masonic Monitors, the Craft ritual manual. Each
candidate, upon completion of the initiation is given a white Lambskin Apron whose pure
and spotless surface, he is told, would be
"an ever present reminder of purity of life and rectitude of conduct, and when at last, after a
life of faithful service your weary feet shall have come to the end of life's toilsome journey
and from your nerveless grasp shall have dropped forever the working tools of life, may the
record of your life be as pure and spotless as this fair emblem which I place in your hands
tonight, and when your trembling soul shall stand, naked and alone, before the Great White
Throne, there to receive judgment for the deeds done while here in the body, may it be your
portion to hear from Him who sitteth as the Judge Supreme, the welcome words: Well done,
28
thou good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee
rule over many things! Enter into the joy of thy Lord."
While the words sound noble, it is to the everlasting pit of hell that the unsuspecting
candidate has been assigned in the subtle words of the message. The promise is that the apron
represents the works of the flesh when the Mason stands before God at the Great White
Throne judgment.
There is only one Great White Throne Judgment in my Bible and it is found in REV 20:11-
15. It is the judgment of those dead not in Christ, the judgment of the damned, who will be
judged... not by the gift of God through Christ, but by their own works, with an end in the
lake of fire. What a tragedy! All worthy Masons are buried with this apron as their covering
before God.
THE KING OF THE PIT OF HELL
In the seventeenth degree of the Scottish Rite, or The Knights of the East and West degree,
after the candidates have completed the initiation they are given the secret password,
Jubulum, and the Sacred Word, Abaddon. Here is the clue to the true identity of the Masonic
Deity. It is revealed in the "Sacred Word" of this ritual, "Abaddon." In Revelation 9:11, we
learn that
"they [the demons and workers from hell] had as king over them the angel of the Abyss,
whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon!"
Again, I must ask, "How could any true Christian dare to take upon himself that evil name as a
sacred word?"THE WORD IS OUT
The supposed quest of the Blue Lodge Masons is the search for "The Lost Word." Most
Masonic ritual is concerned with the recovery of this lost word, presumed to be the name of
God-supposedly lost through the murder of the architect, Hiram Abiff, during the building of
Solomon's Temple. This quest is attained during the ritual of the ROYAL ARCH DEGREE.
It is here that the SECRET NAME of the DEITY OF MASONRY is revealed. That name is
"JAHBULON."
"JAH" is the short form of the Hebrew name of God, "Yahweh," or "Jehovah." "BUL" is a
rendering of the name, BAAL. "ON" is the term used in the Babylonian mysteries to call 29
upon the deity, "OSIRIS"! The secret ritual book of the Craft prints the letters J.B.O. It
states that: "We three do meet and agree-in peace, love and unity-the Sacred Word to keep
and never to divulge the same-until we three, or three such as we do meet and agree."
No Royal Arch Mason can pronounce the sacred name by himself. What is represented as the
god of Masonry is a three-headed monster so remote from the Christian Trinity and so
blasphemous as to damn the soul of anyone who would dare to pronounce its name in a ritual
of worship.
USURPING THE PRIESTHOOD OF JESUS
In the 19th degree of Scottish rite Freemasonry, the Initiate receives the degree of GRAND
PONTIFF. It is during this ritual that the candidate swears an oath of secrecy and an oath of
total obedience “to any Chapter of this degree to which i may belong; and the edicts, laws
and mandates of the Grand Consistory of Sublime Princes and Commanders of the Royal
Secret, as well as those of the Supreme Council of the 33rd degree…”
It is then that the “Thrice Puissant” anoints him with oil on the crown of his head and says:
“Be thou a Priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”
THE BIBLE SAYS
“and inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath (for they have become priests
without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him: The LORD has sworn And
will not relent, You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek"), by so much
more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. Also there were many priests, because
they were prevented by death from continuing. But He, because He continues forever, has an
unchangeable priesthood.”(Heb 7:20-24)
PAGAN COMMUNION—EATING THE DEAD
“QUESTION: What is to us the chief symbol of man’s ultimate redemption and
regeneration?
30
“ANSWER: The fraternal supper, of bread which nourishes, and of wine which refreshes
and exhilarates, symbolical of the time which is to come, when all mankind shall be one great
harmonious brotherhood; and teaching us these great lessons: that as matter changes ever, but
no single atom is annihilated, it is not rational to suppose that the far nobler soul does not
continue to exist beyond the grace: that many thousands who have died might claim to be
joint owners with ourselves of the particles that compose our physical bodies; for matter ever
forms new combinations; and the bodies of the ancient dead, the patriarches before and since
the flood, the kings and common people of all ages, resolved into their constituent elements,
are carried upon the wind over all continents, and continually enter into and form part of the
habitations of new souls, creating new bonds of sympathy and brotherhood between each
man that lives and all his race. And thus, in the bread we eat, and in the wine we drink
tonight may enter into and form of us part of us the identical particles of matter that once
formed parts of the material bodies called Moses, Confucius, Plato, Socrates or Jesus of
Nazareth. In the truest sense, we eat and drink the bodies of the dead; and cannot say
that there is a single atom of our blood or body, the ownership of which some other soul
might not dispute with us.” (Morals And Dogma, Albert Pike, page 539)
THE BIBLE SAYS
“And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body
which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." Likewise He also took the cup after
supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”( Luke
22:19-21).
But….ISN’T THE YORK RITE CHRISTIAN FREEMASONRY?
I am often told that the York Rite is a Christian Rite from start to finish. Would that it were
true. First, the deep roots of Freemasonry are entwined within every branch of the craft and
go through every level of paganism, cultic and occult practices, right into the depths of
Luciferic rituals. No part of the system is exempt. The York Rite is no different and those
men within it who claim it is free from any non-Christian influence are either blind fools or
lying through their teeth!
31
Let's look at the "Knights Templar" Degree. It is reported to have originally been
established to preserve and protect the craft. The special garb worn in the degree consists
an Apron, sash and cordon.
The center of the Apron displays a hand holding a severed head, dripping blood. On the flap
is a hand holding a knife. Drops of red blood cover the white background.
The Sash is white with a yellow fringe. It is filled with gory, severed heads, arms and
legs, mixed in with knives, crosses and crowns. The cordon, which goes around the neck, is
dark satin with severed heads down the side and a small ceremonial sword as the breast
ornament. Along with these grotesque items is a human skull cut and pinned so that the top
of the skull can be detached to use a drinking vessel. And they call this the Christian
Rite??
A BIZZARE BLOOD RITUAL
The paraphernalia of this ritual should be evidence enough that the York Rite is every bit as
pagan as the Scottish Rite, but let me finish this up with a few excerpts from the rite, itself.
The obligation in this degree, called the Master's Nine Of Elect, is now given to the candidate
in the usual form. While the candidate is kneeling at the altar, the companions all stand over
him with raised poniards, as if about to stab him. Meanwhile a horrible, bloody head sits on
the altar, facing him.
He swears this blood oath: "I do solemnly swear, in the presence of Almighty God, that I will
revenge the assassination of our worthy Master, Hiram Abiff, not only on the murderers, but
also on all who may betray the secrets of this degree; and furthermore, that I will keep and
protect this Order with all my might, and the brethren, in general, with all my power, and
furthermore, that I will obey the decrees of the Grand Council of Princes of Jerusalem; and,
if I violate my obligation, I consent to be struck with the dreadful poniard of vengeance, now
presented to me, and to have my head cut off, and stuck on the highest pole, or pinnacle, in
the eastern part of the world, as a monument of my villainy! Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen!"
The vows here are sealed with the Fifth Libation or The Sealed Obligation. The candidate is
given the human skull filled with wine, which he drinks after swearing that "the sins of the
person whose skull this once was, be heaped upon my head, in addition to my own; and may
32
appear in judgment against me, both here and hereafter, should I violate or transgress any
obligation in Masonry, or the Orders of [this] knighthood..."
I am sorry, but any man who has sworn such oaths has so violated his Christian faith and
grieved the Holy Spirit that I suspect he and all those over whom he has headship have
been removed from that umbrella of Christ's protection.
THE GOD OF THE MYSTIC SHRINE
The candidates for this ritual kneel at the ALTAR OF OBLIGATION with arms bound,
leaning upon the top, heads bowed. There they are required to “assume a most powerful and
binding oath, inseparably uniting yourself with us, and once taken, it can never be retracted
or departed from.”
The oath itself is curse enough, being four pages in length. Its penalty included “having my
eyeballs pierced to the center with a three-edged blade.”
The revelation of truth is in the candidates’ sealing of the oath, revealing the true nature of
the Masonic god of the “Mystic Shrine”:“…and may ALLAH, the god of Arab, Moslem and Mohammedan, the GOD OF OUR FATHERS,
support me to the entire fulfillment of the same, Amen, Amen, Amen.” (The Ancient Arabic Order, Nobles
of the Mystic Shrine, pages 35-39, Allen Publishing Co. New York, NY) Allah IS NOT another name for
the God of the Bible.
