Lord, you know who we are. You know everything we have done. We thirst for things
that will never satisfy us. We commit ourselves to things that will never last. We worship
things that will never bring salvation. Still, you offer us the gift of living water. Still, you
offer us the gift of eternal life. Forgive us, O Lord, and give us this living water, so that
we may never thirst again. Amen.

*The Apostles’ Creed (Traditional)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his
only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suf-
fered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; he descended into hell; the
third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right
hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the
forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

WELCOME TO FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The flowers in the sanctuary are given to the Glory of God!
Growing Young readers: join us in the Harper Center at 4:00 PM today as we gather to discuss chapters 2-3. If you haven’t read the book, but want to join the conversation, please do! Copies are still available in Jenny’s office. Each Wednesday during Lent, we will gather at 7:00 PM in the chapel for a 30 minute service of prayer, word, and worship. Please join us as we journey to the cross with Je-sus. This past week our Tuesday Bible Study group turned our attention to a new book. Join us this week as we continue in the Acts of the Apostles. We meet each Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM in the church library. If you have been waiting for that calling to serve the church in a very special way, your time has come. On Monday, March 5th, at 6:00 PM there will be a meeting in the Harper Center to form the Emergency Preparedness Committee. This group will work to-gether to prepare our facility and congregation for medical, fire, weather, and security emergencies. We would like to see a good turnout for this meeting so that the planning can be divided into sub-committees. The church needs your help in making our family safer. We would like to compile a list of members who have medical training or are certi-fied in CPR. This list would be shared with church staff, Elders, and Deacons to become familiar with our members who have experience in the medical field and first re-sponse. The intent is to provide the best possible response to medical emergencies. If you are willing to share your medical and first response skills, please email Heather at [email protected]. We will also add this information to your profile in the church database. The Presbytery’s Spring Middle School Retreat is quickly approaching! We will gather at Camp Kirkwood March 10-11 with youth from across the Coastal Carolina Presbytery. Students in 6th-8th grades can register now with a $55 payment. See Jenny for details. Registration is due by February 26. Youth parents, registration for summer camp trips is now open. Passport Kids (3rd through 5th graders) will be July 2-5, and Passport Camp (6th through 12th graders) will be July 8-13th. Please sign up in the church office. Sunday Worship Bulletins are now published on our church website!
