President's Report:

First, I would like to once again thank Lindsay and his family for having the 3rd Qtr. meeting at his home. The meeting went well and I think everyone had a good time. I would also like to thank everyone that came to the meeting and for bringing lots of good food. Now for this new newsletter. We have made some major changes. It is now more aboutthe club news and not a lot of extras. With that being said we welcome any suggestions.I hope everyone has made it through this long HOT summer and will be making plans toattend the many events coming up. We hope to see everyone at the fall event at theMarkets of Marion. We want to make this show an annual event but we need a good turnout. Please call Stan and let him know you are coming. Please pray for our troops and this country. Thanks,Dave

2. Bob Redfern’s “Military Collectors” show featuring our 2016 Winter rally will air on American Heroes Channel (AHC) on Saturday, September 24, at 8:30 am.

3. For the 2017 Winter Rally, volunteers are needed and will be recruited to work for a few hours at the rally.During previous rallys, a few members have worked almost full time. It is everyone’s club and everyone’srally, so it is only fair that more members contribute a few hours effort to make it enjoyable and a success for all.

Treasurer’s Report:1. Treasurer stated there is a balance of $6,261.83 (end of July statement) and the $3,000.00 CD remains

untouched.2. Recent expenses include a utility trailer and a large tent. The trailer will house the tent as well as tables

and other club supplies. The trailer is titled in the club’s name.3. Treasurer raised proposal to use challenge coins on a wood base as rally trophies, in lieu of purchasing

plaques. Treasurer will get drafts and/or samples for the 4th quarter meeting (at the Fall Show in Belleview).

4. Members are invited to submit proposed designs for the Winter rally tee shirts. Pricing and style alternatives, including domestic manufacturers, will be presented at the Fall Show.

5. On November 3rd, 4th, and 5th, The Road to Victory Military Museum in Stuart (http://www.roadtovictorymilitarymuseum.org/) is included in The Stuart Airshow, at the Stuart, FL airport(http://www.stuartairshow.com/). Michael Roberts, FFC Treasurer and Eastern Region Coordinator, is requesting FFC member participation.

There will be a parachute jump by the 101st Airborne, from a C-47, over the field AS PART OF A MOC BATTLE taking place on the field – this is a first time ever event.

There will be a Friday evening party with food and entertainment, costing $75 per person, BUT FREE (2 tickets) to those that bring a military vehicle.

6. The Eastern region has instituted a D-Day Road Rally, held the past two years on June 6. It is a 6 – 8 mile loop through Stuart and surrounding areas and ending at a restaurant. It is NOT a parade, but this past year the police provided an escort. The rally is for all veterans.

Regional Coordinators are encouraged to establish such rallys – not parades – in their areas.

Secretary’s Report:1. The updating the roster as new member information is received by the Secretary continues. 2. The Newsletter editor position and function has been suspended. A recommendation to use the web-based

business “Constant Contact” for the newsletter was made. Secretary Stan Kinmonth will investigate cost and procedures. In the interim, a newsletter prepared by the Camp Gordon Johnson Museum, was mailed out. The Secretary will draft a new newsletter format to be presented at the fall show and Swap Meet meeting. Meanwhile, articles and information from members, to be included in the next issue, which will be published under the new procedures, is requested.

3. A discussion took place to clarify that Associate Members will receive a free business card sixe ad in the newsletter as a portion of their membership. Other larger ads must be purchased.

Rally / Public Relations Coordinator:1. Rally / P.R. Coordinator Lindsay Orr continues to seek national Winter Rally sponsors.2. Mr. Orr has reached out to members with heavy vehicles (ie. tanks, halftracks, armored cars, etc) to

participate in the 2017 Winter Rally.3. The Renninger location features (as before):

a. Both covered and outdoor vendor space – there would be a fee to Renninger’s for the covered spaces, but the FFC could rent the outdoor spaces and retain all fees collected.b. There is no gate charge

Area Coordinator Reports:Stan Kinmonth – Northern region:1. The next FFC event is the Veteran’s Day Parade in Jacksonville, on November 11. 2. The First Coast Car Council show at Trout Creek Fish Camp (the FFC-MVPA is a member of the council)

Discussion on the administration led to agreement that Regional Coordinators, as well as Sean, will be identified as administrators.Dave Thomas encourages members to make and provide photos and videos to be posted on the Facebook page.

2. Dick Deren requested the FFC place an ad in the Marine Corps League Newsletter; which was voted on and approved.
