Fairhope should have an abundance of showers in May if the Farmer’s Almanac is right. “April Showers bring May owers.” While the showers get us ready for the May owers, they have wreaked havoc on our outdoor plans. The Mission Yard Sale and our Youth Car Wash were postponed until this Saturday the 25th. Both have an opportunity to support good programs as well as the outreach to the Community. As April draws to a close, there is a lot going on. The Secret Church simulcast featuring David Platt should be a time well spent. His insights into the future direction of the church help us see what needs to be happening now. Check the Student Ministry page on the website to nd out about Guys and Girls only nights on April 25. Join us for the Race Day Fellowship next Sunday evening at 5:00. Church-wide fellowships are always a good time plus cheering for the RA boys makes for a fun evening. My sermons the next two weeks continue from the book of Ruth. She was an outsider who became an insider. The story displays God’s ability to take empty situations and ll them with meaning. Our God is an awesome God. Wednesday Bible Study is a study of the Psalms while Sunday nights will be a study of the life of David. My intense desire is for our church to be rightly anchored in God’s Word. It’s hard to believe the school year will be ending soon. Susan and I will be having the graduating seniors in our home the 28th of April. We eat pizza, study God’s Word, and encourage their Christian walk as they begin their journey into life. Pray for our students and their families. This is such a special time for them. There is much to look forward to in the month of May. We have the National Day of Prayer at our church on May 7th, Mother’s Day, Baby Dedication, etc....but rst let’s end April strong. Find your place of service, support missions by giving to the Annie Armstrong O ering, and be a blessing.Your Pastor,JerryRuth 1:16-17
