ACHIEVE! In this class

there’s no

time to fail,

no time to

worry, we’ve

got to set sail.

In all that we

do we will

succeed.

When we give

it our all,

everything

we’ll achieve!

When was the last time that you achieved a goal?

Take a moment to stop, think about that time…. How did you feel? What did you see around you? What did you smell? What did you hear?

Rules, Rules, They’re

Not For Fools!

Page 7: First day presentation

WHAT I NEED TO SUCCEED!

• Respect yourself and everyone because

misbehaving is no fun!

• Come to school to learn and help your brain

grow. Each day you will succeed and find out all

you need to know.

• Believe in yourself it’s okay to have fun! Be the

best student you can until each day is done.

BELIEVE TO ACHIEVE!

Remember our procedures, A through Z, these

are also guidelines that will help us succeed!

Page 8: First day presentation

EACH RULE IS COOL

You may follow

the rules like a

good girl or good

boy, but if you

choose to break

the rules, the

consequences you

won’t enjoy……

Page 9: First day presentation

A SHORT ABOUT OUR POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORT

• In our class we follow each rule. We respect our teacher, our peers, and our school. • I appreciate you one and all, but negative actions will have consequences because I won’t let you fall. • It is all up to you to choose right or choose wrong, but please make a good choice and we’ll all get along.

Page 10: First day presentation

Making good choices is important, indeed, but bad choices are not valued, fast action they need.

Page 11: First day presentation

CONSEQUENCE SENSEIf you have misbehaved, 1. The class will first be saved, but if you continue to do

wrong 2. Receiving an individual warning won’t be long.

3. If being spoken to is not enough, fear not, dear children,

modification can be rough.4. However, if you choose to see right through, time with

another teacher should more than do!

5. If you feel that’s not adequate I’m afraid you’ll be

receiving one demerit. 6. Although if you think that’s not okay, we’ll call your

guardians and see what they have to say.

7. At last if they just can’t do the trick, I’m afraid you’ll be

visiting the principal nice and quick!

Page 12: First day presentation

WITH A REWARD YOU WON’T BE BORED!

Page 13: First day presentation

BE GOOD AND YOU’LL LEARN JUST LIKE YOU SHOULD!

•Making good choices will

not be unseen, you will

be rewarded and your

record will look clean!

•Look for a time to share,

help, and care. Always

be a good student.

Teachers are watching

everywhere.

Page 14: First day presentation

Let’s stop for a moment and look at this stage. Have you seen it before on a magazine page? Each day you come here and have to perform, but making good choices makes you fuzzy and warm.

That word at the bottom, what’s that… Expectations? I think I owe you some good explanations.

What do you expect from yourself this year?

What do I expect? Let me make it nice and clear…I want you to try, and give your best to all, I want you to succeed, not to trip and fall!

Page 15: First day presentation

WHAT I EXPECT AND WILL CONSTANTLY CHECK!

• I want you to learn and

participate. Raise your hand, do

speak up, that would be oh so

great.

• Don’t take the easy road of those

that hang back. Use your critical

thinking, conquer all, don’t crack.

• Be willing to fall, to fail, and to

flop, but each one of us will help

you up when you drop.

…….So as you see, I just want the

best, for Miss Stein’s first grade

students will pass every test!

Page 16: First day presentation

Grades! Grades! How will I get Grades?

Page 17: First day presentation

DON’T WORRY ABOUT CINDY, BOBBY, OR TED. JUST FOCUS ON YOU AND

YOUR OH SO SMART HEAD

• Throughout this year, your progress

will be counted. Look through your

portfolio, there your grades will be

mounted. This portfolio contraption,

it’s to help us see you grow. In this

record of your year, your

improvement it will show.

• This portfolio is vital, so important

indeed, but take a look, that

contraption won’t be all that you

need. Each student shall study, for

quizzes, and tests, my students will

also complete projects of interest.

Page 18: First day presentation

YOU, each and every one of you

will be LOVED and RESPECTED in this class. There is no “popular”

or “in-crowd” test you have to

pass.

Page 19: First day presentation

DON’T WORRY, THIS CLASS IS TRUE, YOU WILL BE LOVED AND RESPECTED BECAUSE

THERE’S NO ONE QUITE LIKE YOU!

• In our class, everyone is valued because there is no one like you. Our differences make us special, we’ll be stuck like glue. • No one is worthless, unimportant, or odd,

even though we all learn differently we are one big squad.

YOU ARE LOVED AND APPRECIATED!

Page 20: First day presentation

EVERYONE CAN LEARN, NEAR OR FAR. EVERYONE CAN LEARN NO

MATTER WHO YOU ARE!• Anyone that needs help will

gladly get it. We’re all different

and need support. Please don’t

fret it!

• We will help ourselves and each

other. I will support you as much

as I can, but don’t worry I won’t

smother.

• Each one of you is special, no

matter if you’re different or the

same. Each student has unique

interests and abilities. I am

proud to know your name.
