Classroom Rules
• All school rules apply in our classroom
• Only water is permitted in class
• Be prepared for class. This includes a writing instrument.
• Respect each other, our classroom and our school.
Classroom Rules
• Students will be required to keep all handouts and notes. Students will use this information on unit tests and the Final Exam.
• Use the restroom and get a drink between blocks
• Only work that is turned in on time will be accepted

• You will be required to keep a three-ring binder. It will contain all handouts and notes. You will receive a grade on your notebook and
• When you need a book for reading workshop you must visit the library on your own time. This includes book renewal.
Writing Assignments
• Five paragraph essay with a three-point thesis• Research Paper• A Short Story• Poems• Various other short writing assignments
Grading & Make-up Work
• Your work will be graded on a point system. You must keep track of your own grades. Progress reports will only be provided at the required time.
• If you are absent for any reason you will receive your make-up work when you return. If you are out one day it is due in one day. If you are out two days it is due in two days, etc.
• Unless WE make other arrangements, any test not made up with in two weeks will become a zero.
• Projects and major writing assignments will not be accepted after the due date.

• This is the beginning of your high school English career.
• You are starting with a clean slate. From here on out your behavior, your grades, and your attitude are up to you.
