“If” clause + Present Tense + futureExample: If we go to the concert on Friday, it will be cheaper.

Used to talk about possibilities in the present or future.

The first conditional can be used to talk about things which may happen:

If it’s sunny, we’ll go to the park.

(it’s possible that it will be sunny, but not guaranteed)

If you go to the movies without me, I’ll be mad.

I’ll be mad if you go to the movies without me.

We can also use “unless”.

You will be unhappy unless you break up with your girlfriend.

Unless you break up with your girlfriend, you’re going to be unhappy.

If you don’t work out, you are not going to lose any weight.
