If there is a deadly sin, one that is more wicked than any other, it

heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;…I will

ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most

High.”

And God said, “I have had enough of Lucifer!” Next thing we

know, the separaon had occurred and Satan and his demons

are gone from heaven. With all of the difficules and problems

that God brings into our lives, things we would never choose for

ourselves, I wonder somemes if they are simply God’s

messengers to keep our feet on the ground and away from a

proud heart.

Our deacons do a great job in caring for our shut-ins and widows

Youth and Family News

By Dusty Carson

I love Thanksgiving, or as I like to call it Turkey Day! It’s hard to

believe that it’s that me of year again. Family will gather, we will

eat way too much. We will watch the Dallas Cowboys destroy the

Washington Redskins as we start eang our le#overs. It’s a great

me of year. If we are not careful we will let the holiday slip by

without really taking advantage of it.

Thanksgiving or aka Turkey Day is a great opportunity to teach our

children about thankfulness. We should strive for them to have an

a%tude of gratude. What a great opportunity for your family to

know that you are thankful for them, knowing they are a gi# from

the Lord. Also let them know of the other ways God has blessed

your family. Our family tradion is to go around and tell everyone

what we are thankful for. Maybe your family could use this idea,

are come up with their own tradion. Make sure that you and

your family let God know how thankful you are for all the ways he

has blessed you. The biggest blessing of all being Jesus Christ.

Have a great Turkey Day!!!
