HOW TO TREAT A MINOR ACCIDENT

Superficial wounds should be washed thoroughly with soap and running water, remove sand or other substances. Disinfect it by using alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, rub on an antiseptic and cover with a gauze pad.

• A minor burn: cool the burned area in cold water for about 20 minutes. If blisters appear, they should not be burst.•A mild cut: stop the flow of blood by applying pressure with a gauze and keeping the wound as high as possible.

•When bitten or stung by an animal: go to the doctor so they decide whether or not you need a tetanus vaccine an antidote or a antihistamine or put a bit of mud on it and press strongly.A burn

How to deal with serious accidents•Report the accident by

calling the emergency telephone number 112.

• They will provide help, which might involve getting ambulances, helicopters, police or firemen to the scene of the emergency.• Do not disturb the accident scene, allow the medical professionals help the injured.
