Mini Sessions  

Thank you for choosing me as your family photographer. I am looking forward to spending time with you and your sweet family! As a mother of three (7 year old twins and a 3 year old), I know how important it is to capture your little ones because they grow up so quickly. Mini sessions are a great way to get updated family pictures and to experience a taste of what FireWife Photography has to offer with a smaller price tag. Get ready for some fun! I strive to not only make you feel comfortable, but to have a good time as well. I tell silly jokes, am known to tickle little bellies and, just generally act silly to help elicit natural smiles. I want you to feel like we’re just hanging out – I love making new friends. :) Here’s to hoping for great weather, fun conversation, natural smiles, and lasting memories!

 

 

Mini Sessions  

What is a mini session? Mini sessions are quick and casual, lasting just 30 minutes with 5-10 images in color only. The perfect way to get an updated family portrait, capture a special phase in your child's life, or just because!

It’s just your family and my camera. The goal is to get a great family photo and a photo of your child, or children together. We’ll move around the grounds to photograph different backgrounds, shoot some seated and some standing, and may even get experimental with creative posing!

Mini sessions are only offered a few times a year (usually spring and fall). A specific date and location is chosen and the time slots are offered on a first come, first serve basis (make sure you “Like” FireWife Photography on Facebook to receive any posted updates/specials).

What can I expect after the mini session? Within 2 weeks of our session you will receive an email containing a link to your private, password-protected

 

 

Mini Sessions  

gallery. I guarantee 8 images (in color only) that can be purchased either via electronic download ($10) or on a CD ($25). I may also provide any additional images beyond 8 that can be purchased for $25 each. In addition, you (and your guests that view your gallery) will also have the opportunity to purchase additional professional quality prints and products from my lab if you so choose. How is a mini session different from a regular session? Full sessions ($250) are one hour, and are personal to you and your family. They take place in your home, or at a location of your choice. The typical gallery from a full session is 20-25 images in both color and black/white. What do I wear? Come feeling confident. Wear something that makes you feel great; if you look good, you feel good. We’ll be walking, sitting and standing, so also consider clothing that moves with you. But the goal is make you and your family feel good, because it will shine through in your photos. Speaking of what to wear, consider the weather. For sessions before noon, it may be a tad chilly and the grass may be wet. Layering clothes allows for you to cool off/warm up and also provides depth in your outfit. With wet grass and leaves, shoes may get damp, so just keep that in mind. (And ladies, remind your fellas that shoes and socks may be seen in your photos!) I will also email over my full “What to Wear” guide with additional helpful information. What about pets? Sure!

 

 

Mini Sessions  

If your pet lizard, Rudolf, is part of your family and you want him in the photos, bring him along. I’m not going to touch him, but I’ll take his photo!

Pets are family members too, so if you want to bring them, please do. Just let me know ahead of time and please bring all pets on a leash. Not every family likes animals and the family scheduled before or after you might not be a fan of Rudolf.

What if it rains? In the event of inclement weather, mini sessions will be rescheduled to another available date. It’s okay if it’s cloudy, chilly or hot, but I typically reschedule mini sessions if it’s raining or if the temperature is predicted to be under 35 degrees or over 95 degrees. Weather-related rescheduling evaluation is done within one day of the mini session date, or sometimes even the day-of. There’s no need to worry about an extended forecast—this is Charlotte. Most of the time, the weather changes anyway! =)

Additional Tips:

! Please be on time or early. If you are late for or miss your time slot, I cannot guarantee that I will be able to work you back in to the schedule.

! These mini sessions go quickly, so I have to limit the number of people per session to 5. If there are more people in your family that you’d like to include, you may book two time slots. Or consider booking a full custom session on another date.

! Due to the sessions being only 30 minutes long, there will not be any wardrobe changes allowed. Again, if you’d like to do a wardrobe change, it may be better to consider either reserving two mini session spots or booking a full session with me on another date.
