HOUSE RULES How to Prevent a House Fire for your agricultural housing DO NOT disable smoke alarms. If these are activated while cooking, check your surroundings. Let air flow in so the smoke comes out. The alarm will stop making a noise after a while. NEVER throw cooking oil into the sink Please place in a glass jar and discard it in the trashcan. TURN OFF appliances Always make sure you have turned off and / or unplugged appliances before leaving the house. DO NOT put objects on top of the boiler KEEP the stove and oven clean. Do not leave anything flammable near the stove or oven. Make sure the curtains do not hang over the stove and never place towels or any other object on the stove. STAY in the kitchen while cooking. NEVER leave a hot stove unattended. If you have to leave the room, turn off the stove. CHECK the clothes dryer Always clean the lint trap after a load is finished. Check regularly behind and around the dryer for any accumulation of lint or clothing that has fallen under or behind.
