Cancer Care ProjectHIGHLIGHTS

To help bring advanced cancer care to WMMC, the WMMC Foundation has launched its campaign to raise $330,000 to purchase medical equipment for cancer treatment and comfort suites for the WMMC community. Proceeds from this event will go towards this project which will provide an EBUS machine that

provides a much less invasive procedure for patients with cancer, and a portable ultrasound machine that will help providers locate and diagnose medical

problems. This project also includes a radioactive navigator that helps surgeons to identify cancer during surgery, and family comfort suites for a private space

for family to be near their loved ones.

Today, area residents rely on our expertise in the moments they need it most, and they deserve the

best technology available. It is with that same dedication we have decided to embark on the

Advancing Cancer Care, Closer to Home project to bring advanced cancer care to our community.

This project will help people like Wendy Buzzanga, who received treatment for breast cancer at Western Missouri Medical Center.
