We’re now working our way through our plan to get back on track with all our activities. The gallery has been open for the past two weekends with an average of 50 visitors and a few sales each weekend. We will keep to the current days and hours of opening until our next changeover, after which we will open from Thursday through to Sunday, still from 10 to 2pm. In terms of the changeover itself, we will be doing this differently, in line with government guidelines – please see Trish’s gallery report for further details. Our large group activities are still on hold mainly because of the unavailability of public halls and the inability we have in Wednesday groups and life drawing to maintain the required personal space. We are hoping to resume these activities in July or August. While we have postponed the tutorials we planned for this year, we hope to run a few workshops utilising the skills of our own members later this year – please see Susie’s report for further details. We have also put arrangements for this year’s Mid North Coast Art Prize on hold – mainly because we are unsure of the ongoing activities and requirements of clubs and halls but also because it will not be appropriate to seek sponsorship from local businesses who are already struggling financially. We are aiming to hold our AGM on Monday 10 th August, although we cannot offer the soup lunch that has become such a valued part of this meeting. Meanwhile though, if you are interested in joining the committee, nomination forms are available by email or at the gallery. Tutorials Tutorials for 2020 have been postponed to 2021 due to the impact of covid 19. However, the Committee has decided that for the second half of 2020 we can perhaps take the opportunity of doing some short in-house workshops. Our association has a number of accomplished artists who may be interested in sharing their skills with members. I am asking you to contact me via email ([email protected]) with any suggestions for such workshops. Of course this all depends on the covid 19 virus. I look forward to hearing from you. GALLERY REPORT FOR FINEPRINT – JUNE 2020 The gallery team is very pleased to report that our gallery was reopened on Saturday 6 June. This coincided with the long weekend and we had over 70 visitors through the door during that time. JULY TO OCTOBER QUARTER With the changeover fast approaching, could those wishing to exhibit in the July to October quarter, please advise me by no later than 5 July of their unavailable dates for roster duty. Exhibitions - “Food for Thought” HVFAA exhibition at the Glasshouse. 10 October-29 November

The GAGs and POP folk have created weekly art challenges open to all and shared on “Messenger” In the past month, challenges have included Mosaic, portrait, boats, shoes. Benefits are that our members can communicate through their art…and it keeps them painting – HINT - for your social interaction don’t forget that POP is active, or simply get a few friends to paint together while we are unable to have our Wednesday and Thursday groups. The paintings displayed are from the GAGs challenges this month from our talented group. Do you recognise any particular styles?
