Using the Library
Go to ntc.eduthen click on Library
Click on find Articles
Click On Badger Link
Click on Ebsco Host
Click on Ebscohost
Make Sure top boxes are Checked and Click Continue
Type in what you want to search (in this instance I typed Behavior Assessment and
search
Check the full text box (as you only want full articles) and then click update results
Scroll and look at titles, once you find something you want, click on it.
You can review the abstract, if you want to read further click on PDF full text, if you want to post the link to the article you must copy the persistent link… but there is more.
Copy this link by highlighting, then copying it, but if you just post this link we will not be able to get to the article if you are off campus. So you must add a prepend (a prepend? What?) I’ll
explain
Go back to this screen (remember to open a new tab on your browser or a new window on your browser to do this). This is the find articles screen. You will be right clicking on the badgerlink (as highlighted
When you right click on the badgerlink a menu will come up,
select properties
What I have circle is the part upu will need, at least up to the arrow, so you need to highlight and copy: http://www.ntc.edu:2048/login?url= and then you will need to add the persistent link from the article
Prepend persistent link from the article
Together they are:
• That is the link to the article that you place as the link, you will be placing in the Wiki (don’t worry I will explain that too.)
OK, now you are off campus and you want to open up a link (these are in the course and you will be looking at ones that other students place in the wiki)
so you click on the link and this is what comes up.
Enter your user name (your log in to use the NTC computers) and your password (your password to use the NTC computers)
and this will take you to the article.
