A hospital setting symbolises things like emergency and harm, and this is whatthe protagonist in our film is linked with – he has created an emergency by

hurting his hands and has caused harm to himself.

Corners represent how the protagonist does not have a straight forwardjourney to finding his mum, he has to compromise sometimes and adapt in

order to get what he is seeking.

A number of doors connote the idea that the protagonist must overcomemany barriers during his fight for what he wants, and if he does overcome

these barriers then he might just find that he becomes a better person for

it as well as being able to track down his long lost mother.

A plain, narrow corridor with many closed doors. The plainness of the corridor

indicates to how bland he thinks his life is, not having any close friends or

family to fulfil and complete him. The narrowness of the corridor highlights

that time is running out for him to find his motherbecome fostered or

adopted. The closed doors are a metaphor for all of the people who theprotagonist has tried to get close to in his life to somehow substitute them for

his real family, but sadly these people have never stuck around for long.
