Check 1: Horizontal Position of Your Hips• Step 1. Stand in front of a mirror while wearing tight clothes on top

and bottom. Loose clothes get in the way of self-checking.• Step 2. Allow your straight arms to hang by your sides.• Step 3. Notice the gap between your sides and inner side of your

straight arms.Step 4. Notice if shoulders are level or not.• Observe

If your pelvis is out of position horizontally (to one side) you will see more of a gap between your arm and your waist on one side of your body and one shoulder may appear lowered. Enter results

Check 2: Vertical Position of Your Hips

• Step 1. Still lying on the flat firm surface. • Step 2. Place your fingers on the bones at the top

of your left and right ASIS as shown in diagram. • Step 3. Notice whether the left or right ASIS is

closer to your chin. It may be that they are the same and you do not have any difference between the left and right side of your pelvis. • Observe

If your pelvis is out of position vertically you will feel that one side is closer to your chin than the other. Enter results

• Step 1. Now lie on a flat firm surface. • Step 2. Place your fingers on the ASIS

bones of your pelvis as shown in diagram. • Step 3. Notice the difference in height if

any between the left and right side of your pelvis. • Observe

If your pelvis is rotated forwards on one side you will feel it as slightly higher. Enter results

Check 4: Rotation at Your Pubis Symphysis

• Step 1. Now lie on a flat firm surface. • Step 2. Place your fingers on the bones

marked Pubic Crests on the left and right of your pubis symphysis which is at the middle of your pubic bone. See diagram. • Step 3. Notice the difference in muscle tone

and height if any between the left and right side of your pubis symphysis. • Observe

If your pelvis is rotated forwards on one side you will feel it as slightly higher and the muscle tone may be firmer on that side. Enter results
