CHASE COMMERCIAL ONLINESM | IP SECURIT Y | WHAT IS IP SECURIT Y?

IP Security offers enhanced security by restricting log on access from IP addresses not authorized by the System Administrator. An IP (Internet Protocol) address is a numerical label assigned to each device on a computer network used to access the internet. This device could be your desktop computer, laptop, or eligible mobile device.

Authorized IP addresses can be assigned at the company level and applied to all users, or at the user level. The user level setting allows the System Administrator to turn IP Security on or off for each user. Also, each user may have a different set of authorized IP addresses. IP Security can be activated and maintained only by the System Administrator.

NOTE: You may already be familiar with our security feature that requires you to obtain an identification code to authenticate your device or web browser. You are required to enter this identification code every time you attempt to log on to Chase Commercial Online from a new device (i.e. computer, mobile), even if you are logging on from an authorized IP address.

When IP Security is activated, an attempted log on from any authenticated device that accesses the internet through an authorized IP address will be successful. If log on is attempted from a previously authenticated device, but through an unauthorized IP address, access will be denied.

Mobile Users: When IP Security is turned on, you will only be able to access Chase Commercial Online from an authorized IP address. You will not be able to log on through your wireless carrier’s network or a WiFi “Hot Spot.” To ensure that your mobile access is not interrupted, we suggest adding the IP Address from secure WiFi connections only.
