Find a Planet Game Object of the Game: Find the most exoplanets Items needed: Game board, Dice Question List (one copy for the game master) Star list (copies for them and copy with # of planets for the game master) To play: At the start of each turn, a player must first answer a question. If they answer correctly, they can roll their die and move forward the number of spaces shown. If they land on a special space, they must follow the directions for that space. The first person to reach the finish line gets to observe 3 additional planets. The second player to reach the finish line gets to observe 2 additional planets. The third player to reach the finish line gets to observe 1 additional planet. Players finishing after this point do not observe additional planets. 55 Spaces of the Game Board: 19 regular spaces(no special instructions or symbols) 15 Observing spaces (solar system icon) 6 Move ahead spaces (1 or 2 stars on the space) 10 Telescope Time spaces (telescope icon) 5 Challenge spaces (symbol based on challenge) Observing Space: If you land on an observing space, you have the opportunity to observe a star and see if it has planets. You choose a star from the list to observe. The game master will tell you how many planets you detect. Move Ahead Spaces: If you land on a space with one or two stars on it, you move ahead on the board one space for every star. Telescope Time Spaces: If you land on a space with a telescope, you have to apply for and be granted research time on a telescope before you can proceed. If you answer your question correctly, you roll your die. If you get an odd number, you get telescope time! Roll your die again and proceed as normal. If you get an even number, you did not get telescope time and you must stay where you are. If you fail to get telescope time three times in a row, move back one space. Challenge Space: There are 5 challenge spaces on the board, each with a different effect Lightning Bolt - An electrical storm has damaged the telescope controls. Skip your next turn.
