BACKGROUND AND CURRENT STATUS On May 7th, 2018 the contract was awarded to Mosaic Transit Constructors to design, build, finance and maintain the project. The federal government allocated $333 million in funding dedicated to the Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) project. RFP closed on December 13, 2017 and Community Office Opened on December 14, 2017. RFP was issued in February 2016. Early Works Construction started. In April 2015, Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca announced that Finch West LRT was moving forward at a cost of $1.2 billion (2014$). In September, the RFQ was issued. Metrolinx, City of Toronto and TTC signed the Master Agreement that includes the Finch W LRT – 11km of LRT from Keele Street to Humber College. The Finch West LRT was announced in 2010 as part of Transit City. The City of Toronto completed an environmental assessment for replacing bus service on Finch, between Yonge Street and Hwy 27.

Mosaic estimates that approximately 600 workers will work on the project and that 85% of the labour will come from the GTA.

• Maintain a minimum of one lane eastbound and westbound along Finch Avenue in construction work zones.
• Buses and general traffic will share this lane. • Additional lanes will be provided if space allows. • Metrolinx will work with City of Toronto Transportation, local elected officials,
local businesses, BIAs and local residents to monitor local traffic. • Signal timing may be modified and turning restrictions may be added or
relaxed. • Please take care when travelling near construction. Watch for additional
signage directing pedestrians.

• Metrolinx has a team of community relations and communications specialists, supported by Mosaic Transit Group, dedicated to the Finch West LRT. Community office located at 2540 Finch Avenue. Telephone service will be available 24/7.
• Through monthly Construction Liaison Committees (CLCs), community canvasses etc., the team will work to lessen the impact of construction and to address concerns, where possible
• Monthly Stakeholder Meetings to share construction updates, discuss and resolve issues with local elected officials and various stakeholder representatives including City of Toronto Transportation Services, Emergency Services (ES) – EMS, Fire and Police, Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Metrolinx and Mosaic Transit Group.

• Ensure that businesses receive up-to-date information on construction activities and timing and where they are directly impacted, they are supported. This involves significant outreach and public communication.

relocation of this ramp to be adjacent to the northbound off-ramp from Hwy. 400 • A signalized crossing of the northbound off-ramp from Hwy. 400 at Finch Ave. • A signalized crossing of Signet Dr./Arrow Rd. on the south approach only • Signalized crossings of Weston Rd. and Norfinch Dr./Oakdale Rd. on all four

• Provision of bicycle lanes separated from vehicular traffic on both sides of Finch Ave. between Norfinch Dr./Oakdale Rd. and Tangiers Rd., and between Weston Rd. and Hwy. 27
• Between two existing multi-use paths in the Black Creek Ravine on the north and south sides of Finch Ave a box culvert will be constructed under Finch Ave. that will provide a direct trail connection, or provide an extension of the multi-use path on the south side of Finch Ave. to an existing signalized intersection across Finch
• Between Finch Ave. and hydro corridor, located along Norfinch Dr. and the western boundary of Finch MSF
• Connections to potential new bike trails running south from Finch Ave., east and west of Weston Rd.
