WELCOME OUR TOWNE SOUTH SUMMER INTERNS!

SOON-TO-BE FRIENDS GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

REGISTRATION! VBXtreme Sports Camp

is July 9-13th and will be here before we

know it! Please get your children

registered as soon as possible. We

publicized the PreK and Kindergarten

class (4 /5 year olds) for five weeks

in-house, giving ample time for our

Towne South family to get their little ones registered. This class does have a cap

of 25, but there are still some openings. We will now open this class to children

in our community. Please register right away if you are interested.

ATTENTION COACHES! Sissy will be contacting all coaches with assignments and

any necessary meetings prior to opening day. All coaches will need to pick up

their sport’s “play book” at The Hub in the foyer. (Please sign off that you

received yours.)

COACHES’ FINAL HUDDLE! Please mark your calendars for the FINAL HUDDLE on

Sunday, July 8th

at 4 PM . This will be a time of final instruction and preparation

for our sports camp.

THANK YOU in advance for making this a slam dunk, touch down, goal kicking,

and high flying fun time for our kids! Our deepest prayer is that they will find true

TEAM SPIRIT among us, and want Jesus as their Head Coach for life!

CALLING ALL PAINTERS!

We are organizing a trip to the Sight and Sound Theatre in

Lancaster, PA October 25-27, 2018 to watch the

musical stage adventure "Jesus”. Inclusive price per adult

The Welcome Home Cookout/Pool Party Celebration for

Justin Shaw is Saturday, July 14th at noon and will be held

at Paul and Kelly Schuellein’s home, 830 NC Hwy 343S, in

Camden. Our teens will be cooking hamburgers and hot

dogs with all the fixin's. Don’t forget to RSVP at The HUB

no later than July 8th with the number of family members and the side, dessert

and/or beverage you plan to bring. Wear patriotic or camouflage colored cloth-

ing to add to the festivities! Sunscreen, pool toys, bathing suits and towels are

on Thursday, July 19 from 3 to 7 PM in

our auditorium! We are striving toward a

goal of 33 donors and we have 13 people

signed up to date! To make it convenient,

you can choose a timeslot and an

appointment will be made with the

American Red Cross in advance for you. Stop by The Hub today and make your

time selection! Thank you for giving the gift of life!

Starting on Monday, July 16, we are going to be doing some

sprucing up of our upstairs here at the church building. We

will be tearing out all carpet and repairing and painting most of

the classrooms and hallways. If you have some skill in painting

and would be willing to volunteer your time sometime that

week or the next, please contact Jonathan at

Preschool! There will be an Open House held on

Wednesday, July 18 for anyone interested in learning

more about our preschool. Staff will be available that

day from 10 a.m. until noon and again from 6 to 8 p.m. to

give tours and answer questions. Complete registration

three-year old preschool class and a teacher assistant for

our two-year old class. Applications for both positions are

available at The Hub. The due date for all applications to

be returned is Sunday, July 8.

Chris Gibbs is going to be serving as a

preaching intern at Towne South this

summer. Chris is a native of Hyde

County, North Carolina. He moved to

Elizabeth City three years ago with his

wife Toni and son Tommie to enroll at

Mid-Atlantic Christian University. Chris

and Toni began attending Towne South

shortly after they arrived in Elizabeth

City, and placed their membership with us shortly thereafter. Chris and Toni have

been volunteering in our children’s ministry for the last six months, teaching the

elementary age children. Chris and Toni also have a daughter Christen, 25 and

two grandchildren, Elayna, 6 and Zayna, 2. Chris is a rising senior at MACU and

looks forward to serving and learning the roles of the staff and leaders at Towne

South. Take a moment to greet Chris and welcome him in his service!

Most of you know Sarah Baker. She grew up at

Towne South and is the daughter of Mike and Patricia

Baker. This fall, Sarah will be entering her sophomore

year at Milligan College where she is studying Music

Education. Her plans are to go on and get her

Masters Degree to be a music teacher. Sarah has

served in our Children’s Ministry in many different

ways in the past and we are excited to have her serve

part-time as an intern in our Children’s Ministry this

summer. When you get the chance, please introduce

yourself to Sarah and encourage her as she serves

with us!
