MOE FAS - Guidelines for application (Student Handbook pg. 58)

To qualify, the student must meet the following income criteria:

Gross Household Income (GHI) not exceeding $2,500

ORPer Capita Income (PCI) not exceeding 

$625

If you are eligible for MOE FAS, the benefits (for Sec level) are:

School Fees Waived

Standard Miscellaneous Fees

Waived

Textbooks Free textbooks

School attire Free school attire

Examination Fees 75% subsidy of National Examination Fees

If you are eligible for MOE FAS, you also qualify for:

SATA SMAS (School Medical Assistance Scheme)

You and your immediate family members will receive free/subsidised:

a) healthcare services(E.g.: GP services, vaccination)

b) preventive healthcare services (Eg: X- rays, ultrasound)

Canteen Vouchers Scheme

You will receive vouchers daily for food items,

vouchers to be collected from Movers & Shakers

If you are eligible for MOE FAS, you also qualify for:

Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) Bursary

- Total gross household income should not be more than $450 per capita or should not be exceeding $1500 per month.

- application is open & completed forms must be submitted to school’s General office by 24 Jan 2014

You will receive an award of $450.

If you are eligible for MOE FAS, you also qualify for:

Sembcorp Marine Ltd School Book Assistance Grant (SchoolBAG)

- Total gross household income should not be exceeding $1500 per month.

- application will open at the end of the year, an announcement will be made

Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) Bursary

- Total net household income should not be more than $500 per capita and should not be exceeding $3000 (excluding CPF) per month.

- Successful MDIS bursary recipients are eligible to apply in alternate years (every 2 years).

- application is open & completed forms must be submitted to school’s General office by 28 Jan 2014

You will receive an award of $400.

Singapore Buddhist Lodge Education Foundation Bursary

- for all students, regardless of race or religion- application is open & completed forms must be

submitted to school’s General office by 28 Jan 2014

You will receive:a) between $350 to $450 for Secondary One to Three

studentsb) $500 (and an additional $200 for ‘N’ & ‘O’ Level

Examination Fees)

Woodlands Citizens’ Consultative Committee Bursary (end of the year, announcement will be made)

- A notice will be placed at the notice-board outside the lift-landing areas of the following blocks of flats in Woodlands (Blk 601 to 618, 632 to 658, 665 to 680, 701 to 713, 744 to 747 and 801 to 882, 866 A, B, C, D and 877 A, B, C).

- Students who are interested may collect the application forms directly from Woodlands Community Club.

is on a YEARLY basis

1. When financial assistance schemes are available, announcements will be made during morning assembly and on school TVs.

2. Check with your parents if criteria for total household income is met.

3. Request for forms from Mrs Sarah Tan / Ms Tina Woon / Mdm Yati / Ms Lynn See.

4. Complete the forms and attach all supporting documents.

5. Check that forms are completed and all supporting documents are attached.

6. Submit forms and all supporting documents to General Office. Take note of date for submission.
