It has its inspirations from the sculptures of the ancient temple. Dance form is often famed as poetry in motion. It is a dance that is composition of science and art ties up three elements: sentiments, melody, and rhythm. The techniques are complex and require high skills to master them. It consists of 64 principles of coordinated hand, feet, face and body movements. The dancer has to express through movements the moods of passion, heroic sentiments, fear, anger, hatred, tenderness, laughter, amazement and peace. The song accompanied the dance is mainly religious or even erotic. Today, it is one of the most popular and widely performed dance styles and is practiced by male and female dancers all over the world.
Research & AnalysisA video projection is an image projector that receives a video signal and projects the corresponding image on a projection screen using a lens system. Idea DevelopmentThe Initial Idea
At beginning, my topic was focus on all the tradition dance in Malaysia. I would like to compare it with western tradition dance with a specific Malaysian tradition dance.

I came to a conclude of focus on Indian tradition dance, Bharatanatyam by using video projection. Using video projection could a new way of presenting Bharatanatyam dance among the audience. This also could help to educate the upcoming generation to participant in their cultural.
Idea DevelopmentIn order to make a montage, video or animated visuals that needed to be projected on the stage, I would consider to use the following applications or software:
Video, animation and editing*Adobe Flash*Adobe After Effects*VDMX 5
Photo, illustrative art and digital drawing editing*Adobe Photoshop*Adobe Illustrator
Projection Mapping editing*MadMapper
The MadMapper provides a simple and easy tool for mapping projections. It removes a lot of the confusion related to this medium, effectively demystifying the process, allowing you, the artist or designer to focus on creating your content, and making the experience of mapping textures to physical objects in real time. http://www.madmapper.com/
Contextual StudiesCultural Context can be defined by our upbringing and cultural background. This refers to thoughts, opinions and feelings that result from experiences. An example of parents should be the main guideline for their children towards culture.
