Guildhall School is provided by the City of London as part of its contribution to the cultural life of London and the nation.

Welcome

Welcome to Guildhall’s 2020 Digital Showcase. I am delighted to introduce our company of actors who will graduate this July, after three years of intensive training.

In the first two years of training, the actors have developed their craft through a wide range of repertoire and practice. They have undertaken a comprehensive and holistic programme focussing on body and voice, as well as extensive acting projects on stage and screen. The actors have trained in a number of skills and techniques, including self-taping, dialects and stage combat. Alongside their training, they have taken part in workshops with visiting professionals from here and abroad.

Many of you will have seen the group since September in productions of Red Velvet, The Wheel, Provok’d: A Restoration, Gut, The Royale and Earthquakes in London. You may also have seen the students in their own written and performed solo pieces throughout the year.

Due to COVID-19, they were unable to present their industry showcase, as well as planned productions of Antigone, the Black Box Shakespeare and Grease. So, it’s with great pleasure that we are offering our first Digital Showcase, filmed specially by the students from their homes.
