INTRODUCTION

DVD players have taken over the spot once held by the VCR as the

workhorse of home entertainment. DVD players can not only play movies,

but can also play standard music CDs. They also come in various formfactors: single play, 5 or 6-disc changers, etc.

A DVD player is recognized for its impressive sound quality and crisp video,

hence it is no wonder why it has increased in popularity during recent times.

There are different types of DVD player available with variant featuresthat you can use to fulfill your needs.

High-definition video requires plenty of disc storage. The secret to

the Blue-ray player and HDDVD is that they both use blue lasers

rather than the red lasers used in standard DVD/CD players

A standard DVD player can store about 8.5 gigabytes (GB) of

information on a dual/double layer (DL) DVD disc. The HDDVD

player places 30 GB on a DL HD disc; while the Blue-ray player

stores 50 GB on a DL Blue-ray disc.

Life without DVD players??????

Playing movies, entertainment is not possible, makes

life boring.

It would not affect that much because laptops have

taken its place, & other options are also available.

Would not be able to enjoy high definition movies

Have to Waste lot of money in theatres again.

LIMITATION

The study is limited by sample size of 50 respondent.

The study focuses on customers opinion which is likely to change over aperiod of time.

The respondent were not much familiar with the brands of DVD Player

Unable to give correct data regarding the product DVD Player

Some respondents were not aware as well as not intersed in answering thequestionnaire.

Some respondents were trying to avoid by giving the reason of lack of

time. The respondent were not much familiar with the Types of DVD Player

FINDINGS

It is found that the number of respondents mostly prefer branded

DVD Player like Sony & Samsung.

Survey states that 34% people are influenced by theadvertisement, while Demos, Schemes, word of mouth also plays thesignificant role.

Almost 38% Respondent are much satisfied with the multi disc type

of DVD Player. While least preference is given to DVD only.

Survey states that 40% people opt for laptops ranging from3000-5000. & 2% people are also prefer to have the DVD player below 1000.

According to the survey conducted 40% of people said that they would opt to buy a new DVD-Player after a span of 3-5years,

Due to this survey , respondent use DVD player for more than 4-8 hrs in a typical day; This shows that people aredependent on DVD Player.

80% respondent say that DVD player is a need while there are also 20% people saying that its just a statussymbol.

32% respondent have the problem with the lens (Clarity), while people also have the problem with the attachmentsin DVD player.

People have mixed opinion that regarding the life without a DVD player ; some say it is very important forthem, while others say they have other options available instead of using a DVD player.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The respondents should give more preference to

brand image of DVD Player but they should also

look for features while purchasing a DVD Player.

The company should come out the additional

features in DVD player, So people may have no

options except to use it.
