Delhi, the capital of world’s largest democracy, is a fascinating amalgamation of the old and the new. While Old Delhi is a labyrinth of narrow bylanes, havelis and majestic mosques, the imperial city New Delhi is marked by spacious boulevards, tree-lined avenues and modern architecture. Delhi’s composite culture, evolved over hundreds of years lends it a unique identity. With its monumental history, modern landmarks and local quirks, Delhi has become an ideal setting for filmmaking.

Delhi has been a muse for many writers, artists and filmmakers. Over the years, a number of remarkable films have been shot in Delhi, making it one of the most desirable shooting destinations.

To further promote Delhi as the finest film-shooting destination for global cinema, Delhi Tourism in association with Govt. of Delhi and other stakeholders is taking various steps to facilitate filming in Delhi.

The Delhi Tourism Calendar for 2018 showcases popular shooting destinations. We hope Delhi keeps inspiring creative minds and Delhi Tourism becomes a partner in creating cinema.

Agrasen Ki Baoli is a stepped well with 103 stairs and is included under the monuments protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. These enigmatic steps have been a source of splendor in many movies.The Baoli is situated at Connaught Place. Sultan and PK are some of the films shot here.
