Final cut is higher rated than iMovie as it has more

effects to produce a better quality trailer and has

more advanced technology to use on it.

It supports many different file types

You can import full clips or just proportions of clips

Over 1,300 sound effects

Separates visuals and audios

IMOVIE

iMovie has 29 different style templates

It has an easy to use timeline where you can drag

and drop clips to edit them together.

iMovie doesn’t have as much editing technology as

final cut.

You can have different themes to your video with

iMovie.

You can also edit clips in the app.

DECISION

As I have the editing role when creating my trailer

I need to decide what software I will be using when

editing our trailer. I need something with the correct

software on to make our trailer look as professional

as it can. Having looked at the benefits and

drawbacks of both iMovie and Final Cut, I think

Final Cut will be the better software to use as it has

better devices on it and will give our trailer more of

a polished professional look to it.
