The name of the game was originally going to be Long Haulin' but I felt like Special Delivery was a better name for it. This game consist of up to four players. Before the game starts you choose your character and your truck piece which represents a well known delivery company ( UPS, USPS, Fed-Ex, & DHL). This game will be governed by the roll of a dice. The original proposal stated that the player would have to play for money by completing deliveries. You would earn more money that you could use to purchase power up cards to help you throughout the game. I made some alterations to the original game plan:

The name of the game is SPECIAL DELIVERY Be the first player to make it to the house at the end to win the game. At the beginning of each game every player will roll the dice to see who will go first; the person with the highest number goes first. What ever number you rolled will determine whether or not you are first, second, third, or fourth. Before you play you must select a cargo truck to represent your spot on the board. Then you commence playing by rolling the dice and whatever number comes out determines how many spaces you move. Along your path are obstacles that will either slow your progress or help you.

Prototype:

Here are my prototype designs that I created in Adobe Illustrator. I wanted clean lines and vector art is the best for that

I referenced actual cargo trucks and I also had to recreate the logos in Illustrator.

Play testing:Test Subjects:

Name: Holly FieldsAge: 20Sex: FemaleHolly's comments: Fun game, cute concept. Add more traps (obstacles). Change rules at the end of the game where you do not have to roll the exact number to finish.

Name: Arthur EdwardsAge: 24Sex: MaleArthur's comments: Fun, simple and playful game. There should be less police squares. The game could have more diverse obstacles on the board such as red lights and weather obstacles.

The gameplay was fun and simple, I agree. Me and my two test subjects had a blast playing Special Delivery. We had a good laugh at each other when we landed on obstacles and had to go back a certain amount of spaces only to land on another obstacle that made us lose a turn. I need to put more thought into how we should end the game and add more obstacles. I still feel as though this game is missing something.

Work in progress: Color print out of game board and game pieces.I ended up having to purchase new ink to print this out. I feel as though it came out well. I had to print it out in sections. I mad some modifications to the board and added some obstacles. Someone made a suggestion that I should add cards to the game play but I decided not to. Mostly what my testers wanted was more diverse obstacles and I added some. I even made my game pieces smaller because I felt as though they were too big in the testing version. The new obstacles that were added were the Railroad Crossing sign and the Avalanche sign because I changed the upper background into mountains instead of hills.

If you land on police space then you have to wait an entire round to roll the dice again because you have been stopped for a traffic violation.

Landing on a tow-away zone spot will cause you to move back 10 spaces.

A detour allows you to skip ahead to where the arrow points you to.

This is the fender bender sign. Landing on this will cause you to move back 5 spaces

This sign means that if you land on it you can progress 2 extra spaces.

The main goal of this game is to be the first to make it to the house first and deliver the mail.

Landing on a space with an avalanche warning sign causes you to move backwards 2 spaces.

The railroad crossing sign will cause you to go backwards 1 space.

The name of the game is SPECIAL DELIVERY Be the first player to make it to the house at the end to win the game. At the beginning of each game every player will roll the dice to see who will go first; the person with the highest number goes first.
