India has achieved the distinction of being largest milk producer in the world due to consistent afforts in upgradation of the germplasm and innovative tools in reproductive management and feeding. During the last decade commercial dairy farms are coming up in large number while rearing of animals by farmers has decreased. This has affected the socio-economic status of the marginal and landless farmers. Climate change is another important factor which has impacted environment, social and economic issues of the world. It has become an important area of concern for India to ensure food and nutritional security. This conference will provide a platform to the scientists, academicians, technologists and industrialists to share their knowledge and experience on socio-economic issues
