In 1900: it was established.

It was showed for the group of seven, betty goodwin, david milne, and shary boyle.

In 1913: the first exhibitions of museum were opened.

In 1918: the first art galleries were built in the beaux art.

The galleries have been seen for four major expansions and renovations, and continued to add spaces since 1974.
