COMPANY:

Bank Note Paper Mill India Private Limited (BNPMIPL) is a 50:50 Joint Venture between

Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) – A Government of

India Enterprise, New Delhi and Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited

(BRBNMPL) – A wholly owned subsidiary of RBI, Bangalore incorporated under the

Companies Act 1956 having its Registered and Corporate Office at Bangalore and project site

at Mysore, Karnataka.

Ministry of Finance, Government of India, as an anti-counterfeiting measure, decided that,

India should develop its own facility to manufacture Currency paper and directed SPMCIL

and BRBNMPL to establish a new 50:50 JV Company as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) at

Mysore to manufacture bank note paper for country’s self-reliance as also import

substitution. Accordingly, the JV company has been incorporated since October 2010 with

an authorised share capital of Rs. 1000 Crore. At present, the paid up share capital of the

company is Rs. 600 Crore.

PROJECT:

The Company is implementing the project of setting up of a Bank Note Paper Mill with a

capacity of production of 12000 metric ton per annum of bank note paper in two phases of

6000 TPA each. The estimated project cost is around Rs. 1400 Core (including duties, taxes

and levies). The Company has planned to bring up this new project as one of the best bank

note paper mills in the world by adopting State-of-Art Technology, world-class machinery

and by inculcating world-class work-culture in a highly secured and confidential

environment. Since both the JV partners are engaged in printing of bank notes, the entire

production output of bank note paper will be supplied to them in accordance with the pre-

decided proportion. The project assumes strategic importance as both the product and

process of manufacture are security sensitive.

Presently, the project is in construction phase and accordingly, acquisition and construction

of plant, equipment, utilities and other infrastructure necessary for setting up of the plant

are in progress. As per the implementation schedule, the first phase is expected to go on

stream in June 2014 and the second and final phase in October 2014. For spearheading the

project, the company is, in the process of recruiting manpower across all levels for erection /

commissioning and subsequent operation and maintenance of the plant. The Company has

retained the services of Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for recruitment

services.

PROJECT SITE:

This greenfield project is coming up in Note Mudran Nagar, Mysore, Karnataka adjacent to

the existing bank note printing press. Note Mudran Nagar is a secured place surrounded by

compound walls and is situated in the vicinity of Metagally Industrial Area. The distance

from Mysore Railway Station to the project site is around 8/10 KM and the nearby market

place is around 4/5 KM. Mysore is a heritage city having historical interest and tourist

attraction. Education and healthcare facilities in Mysore are excellent. There are a number of

CBSE / ICSE schools, Pre-Degree/ Degree Colleges, University, Engineering institutes and

Medical colleges at Mysore. As for healthcare system, Mysore is having speciality and super

speciality hospitals both in the corporate sector as also in the Government run hospitals.

Besides, Mysore is well connected by road and rail. The distance between Mysore and

Bangalore is about 140 KM. Mysore city is in expansion mode and there are plenty of

accommodation / housing facility available at an affordable cost in and around Mysore city.

Mysore is also an emerging destination for industrial growth.

Relaxation in upper age limit (as on 31.12 .2012) will be extended as per Government of

India guidelines which is as below at present:

i Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates

Note: The relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per Govt. of India guidelines.

Date of birth as per Secondary School Certificate (SSC) should be mentioned.

Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability certified by Competent

Authority shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Persons with Disability

(PWD).

The SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicants claiming reservation in eligibility criteria should submit

Caste/Tribe/Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority as in Government of India

format for availing the benefit of reservation at the time of interview.

For getting the reservation benefits under OBC category, following are required to be adhered:

The candidate must not belong to creamy layer/socially advanced sections

The name of caste and community of the candidate must appear in the ‘Central list of

Backward classes’

The candidate need to furnish their OBC certificate as per the format prescribed by the

Government of India (not older than six months as on 31.12.2012), from the Competent

Authority, at the time of interview.

The OBC applicants coming under ‘Creamy Layer ‘will be treated as ‘General’ Category

candidates and hence should indicate their category as ‘General’.

An ex-serviceman who has once joined the Government job on the Civil side after availing the

benefits given to him as an ex-serviceman for his re-employment, his ex-serviceman status for

the purpose of re-employment in Government ceases and thus will not be eligible to seek

relaxation in upper age limit as detailed above.

In case of a candidate who is eligible for relaxation under more than one of the above

categories, the age relaxation will be available on cumulative basis.

Once the category is notified in the application form, it cannot be changed at any stage later on.

Other Allowances and Benefits: DA (Central DA @ 72% at present) , HRA- depending on the place of posting i.e.@30% (on Basic Pay including Grade Pay) for Bangalore and @ 20% (on Basic Pay including Grade Pay) for Mysore. Other benefits and perquisites as per the rules of the company. Note:

5. SELECTION PROCEDURE: a. Selection for the post of Assistant Manager, Engineer/Officer and Industrial Workmen – Grade

I-IV will be done through on-line test followed by a personal interview of candidates who qualify in the on-line test and short-listed for interview.

b. The On-line test in respect of Assistant Manager and Engineer/Officer will consist of test of reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and Professional Knowledge in the respective field.

c. The On-line test in respect of all Industrial Workmen grades will consist of test of reasoning, numerical ability, general knowledge and general science & mathematics.

d. The above tests will be in English language only. e. In the selection process, an applicant has to secure minimum marks in each of the tests and

rank sufficiently higher to be called for the interview. The minimum marks will be decided by the company based on the performance in the on-line test. However, since the final selection would depend on the number of vacancies as also relative performance, merely qualifying in

the on-line test and personal interview will not entitle an applicant to appointment in the company.

f. As the vacancies exist in both executive and non-executive cadre in disciplines like i. Mechanical branch ii. Electrical/Electronics iii. Chemical, Pulp & Paper Technology, separate rank lists in respect of each of these disciplines will be prepared after on-line test as also interview and candidates will be appointed from these three lists to the extent of vacancies earmarked for each discipline.

g. Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Hand-out, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the call letter for On-line test in the company’s website.

Penalty for wrong answers: There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the objective tests. For each question for which wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at the corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e., no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question. 6. HOW TO APPLY: -

9. ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT:

Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered,

fabricated or suppress any material information while filling up the application form. At the

time of interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of 1. Impersonating or procuring

impersonation by any person o r 2. Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in

connection with his/her candidature for the selection or 3. Obtaining the support of

his/her candidature by any means; such candidate may, in addition to, rendering

himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution will be liable (a) to be disqualified from the

interview for which he/she is the candidate (b) to be debarred either permanently or for a specific

period from any examination or selection held by the Company. The Company would be

to detect patterns of similarity. If, as per the laid down procedure, it is suspected that the
